Leslie went in the bar trying not to alarm anyone of her presence. It'd been forever since she was last there, and it wasn't good.
Arthur calling her a bitch and leaving still buggered her. She missed him, he was a good friend, despite his mood.
But it was different this time, she was there to meet the only man she ever loved that wasn't just her friend. Leslie smiles as she thought "the man I love" over and over. It seemed unreal.
He said it was a special occasion, she wondered what he wanted.
She just sat there waiting and asked for a soda, she didn't want to make him want to drink alcohol, she almost lost him once and would do everything so that it wouldn't happen again. |

Ben walked in through the dark doors of the Dirty Bastard. He scanned the bar for Leslie, sighting her, he gave a nervous smile and walked over to her. He felt around in his pocket. It was there, safe. But still Ben was bricking it. Butterflies were an understatement - it was like he had a fucking robin fluttering around in there.
With that slightly disturbed thought running through his mind, he gave Leslie a warm embrace and a long kiss on the cheek. He sat down next to her and gave her a hug,

Kamikaze Kate was sitting in her usual place, in the darkest corner of TDB. She'd left baby Nickalexa with Alex, as she always did for Madbirds meetings. She was allowed to bring Nikki, but didn't like the disturbance. Besides, she wanted Alex involved in Nikki's life somehow, even if he wasn't involved in Kate's.
She crossed and uncrossed her long legs, sipping sporadically at her blackcurrant juice, waiting for the others to arrive. It felt weird Nick not being here. |
