I was only going at the whole "Make sure your spelling is correct" thing. As long as you understand what the person is saying it shouldn't matter.

No, I think that being able to spell in your own native tongue is but one part of having a functional brain. And I'm sorry, but if someone is typing in gibberish, I don't speak it and would quite like them to try clarify it.
