 Welcome to darkbluemusic.co.uk
Dark Blue Music, named after the Jack's Mannequin song "Dark Blue" (well, it obviously wasn't named after any other Jack's song, though come to think of it, "Mixed Tape Music" actually sounds way better - I'll let Jimmy know that for when we change our name again, probably later this year), was originally the brainchild of Kirsty Cruz-Bishop. Since the opening of Kirsty Cruz Management in 2005, the music genre of madcore, invented by KCM for our first signing Moronic Changeling, has become more popular than it probably should be, and is still going stronger than ever five years on, thanks to DBM, its predecessors and most of all, the madcore musicians.
What do the bosses look for in DBM artists? They look for the unique, the strange, the weird, the mad .... bands who don't bind themselves to normal genres. The pop princess who would happily scream her lungs out at a heavy metal show, the punk rocker who isn't afraid of losing his image by singing an emo song, something like that. Step out of your comfort zone once in a while and my superiors may take a look. Fast track signings to female artists who give Jimmy Ahem. Enjoy the site!-That Bloke PS.
