While many Stephanie Fierce fans are excited about new music coming from Mrs. Fierce this year, some are disappointed to hear that two songs from Stephanie Fierce (which happen to be two Fierce classics) were banned by radios in the US, Asia and Canada. Both “Sweaty Nights” (A stompy Ska-pop pleaser) and “Love Feels like Grenades feat. GirlSpice” (A classic Fierce-pop collaboration) were banned. According to sources “Sweaty Nights” was banned explicit sexual content and “Love Feels Like Grenades was banned for promoting minor torture and suicide.
Stephanie Fierce herself commented on the decision: “I am not surprised that “Sweaty Nights” was banned. To be honest I didn’t think it would get played in the radios but “LFLG” getting banned? I don’t see how the song promotes torture or suicide! Especially when I clearly said it’s about love and how it feels. Oh well, as long as my fans have access to the songs I really don’t care”. Some radio stations have decided to just cut out the part were is promoting suicide and torture is suggested. But many have decided to take out the songs from their weekly playlist.
Let’s take a look at the “Love Feels Like Grenades” lyrics written by Stephanie Fierce.
Stephanie Fierce- Love Feels Like Grenades feat. GirlSpice
There is a way, to maintain a healthy heart There is a way, to prevent a heated war to start But damn it, there’s Cupid He is hiding, (he’s so stupid ) Setting ammunition , (On a mission) To make us fall in love (love) There is something in his hands Cupid thinks I don't know that he’s a bad man, with the heart of Venada city* I'm a sinner, just a sinner with a heart of the pity (Not ready to battle cuz)
Love Feels like Grenades it blows in the air, the smoke chokes you up until you're dead. (Love feels like Grenades) Little heart shaped grenades can blow you to shreds. You just won’t believe it, oh no (Love Feels like Grenades) So explosive you just won’t believe it, oh no There’s must be a way to turn it off (x3) gotta cut the right vein. * (It’s worth to feel the pain)
cuz, Love Feels Like Grenades
There’s an arrow on my chest Wasn’t ready for this yet There’s no way for a healthy heart Cuz there’s a war about to start Am I ready? Oh no (x3)
3..2..1 (here it goes) Boom Boom (da da da da) x4 (Love Feels like Grenades)
I’m a suicide this love (is the only way)
Goodbye, goodbye, goodbye,
Boom Boom (da da da da) x2 Boom boom Boom (da da da da) (Love Feels Like Grenades)
Imma suicide, suicide this love away (is the only way) * suicide this love away goodbye, goodbye, goodbye, goodbye, goodbye (bomb blows up) *

What Fuck!? What is happening with these people? A country that has killed more than 150,000 people in the war prohibit a song to be played? This is strange... |

Stephanie Fierce: What I don't understand is why would they play a song and then quit playing it. Is not like there's been reports of people killing themselves for hearing my song.

Giorgio: Make that two. I hate it when music gets censored. *bleep*ing Tipper Gore shouldn't talk about harmful music with a last name which has a metal genre named after it. Well...sort of. Hell, Transferium Project purposely made three albums full of death, violence, war, disaster and such and we didn't got censored, and now a love song full of metaphors gets pulled off the air? *bleep* that. Mache : I say uncensor it. Emma : You're that bothered about hearing her music!? Besides, we don't even usually live in America or Asia. Why would you care? Mache : Not for me. But if people are gonna slit their wrists over hearing Stephanie Fierce music on the radio, they deserve to cark it. Emma : What about free speech? Surely that's the best reason to uncensor .... Mache : No. It'd just be fuckin' funny if some fan died over hearing Fiercey's music. Edited by user 26 January 2010 09:41:52(UTC)

Censorship sucks dick. Who gives though? So what if you lose a few album sales, you're still a freakin millionare and people will probably download it even more now the fuss has been made. Trust, censorship from Radio 1 was probably the best thing that happened in our careers. 'Sick' which was probably the most tormented track on our most tormented album sold nearly 1.8 million copies, and that was banned from the Radio the second it came out. Worst thing to do is record a censored version of the song after, fuck that, it's shit usually and if your songs about nasty stuff no point replacing it with nice words.

Billy Failed Youth Stephanie Fierce: Who gives? I do. If they are not going to play the original, they might as well not play it at all. My fans are just dissapointed they wont hear their favorite songs from me on the radio or atleast hear the "fierce" version. It's not about the sales, its about my fans being satisfied.
