I was thinking with all this FAWM stuff, we should all make some songs together.A lot of us play instruments and write and whatnot, we could make songs. Some of us could make a basic instrumental like with Rhythm Guitar or Piano (Because they're probably the easiest to make a basic song on) and then some of us could make additions to it,send the all of the files to one person, then mix it down into one (I doubt Gildy would wanna do that but he seems like someone who could).I think it could work and it would be so crazy, imagine Lewis' voice on one of my metal songs, or my voice on one of Lewis' more pop songs. |

I know my way around most modern audio stations, though Gildy would probably know more intricate detail than me, and is probably slightly less impatient.
Whatever's down. I'm focusing on writing and concept for FAWM as opposed to recording immediacy. This is just to test the bounds of prolificism. But anything outside of FAWM, or for someone else, I'd be happy to consider. |

Too bad I can't record digitally. It'd be pretty cool to add guitar harmonies to a pop song or something of the sort.

I'd certainly be happy to mix something, and add my own clumsy musical noises to something only to have them vetoed for being inappropriate and horrible.
Logistically the simplest thing to do would be to pick a simple song to cover, and then starting with one person, you would go instrument by instrument, adding each part, or an equivalent part.
The other way to go is to start with an idea, a riff or two, a beat, a vocal, whatever, and then pass it to someone else to add something or reshape it in some way. The problem then is whether or not too many cooks spoil the broth. But as long as it's done in multitrack, anything that's added can always been trimmed back later. |

That was my general idea, but one person would make the majority of a basic idea and then the rest would expand on it then together they'd edit it. |

I'll probably be doing a few collabs this FAWM. I'd love to do some online collabs with you TRSGers, whether it's as fawmers or more polished non-fawmy music. Edited by user 27 January 2010 05:23:43(UTC)

My album will be based on culture. So if anyone is interested in collabing, hit me up.

Out of interest, what culture? Popular culture? Your own indiginous (is this entirely the right word? I'm not convinced but cannot think of a better one) culture? I'm not being a dick, just asking. |

I'm not being a dick, just asking. You're not being a dick. I can't reveal it yet, Feb hasn't come yet. That's why I summed it up. The title of the album is called "Multicultural Faces & Phases". All I can say that its going to have a story line. The lyrics will follow each other. Edited by user 29 January 2010 02:24:25(UTC)
