I just wrote this ( I wanted to start simple)

Acid Rain by Daniel
Somewhere in a jungle my love awaits
I better hurry, a storm heads my way
But nothing stops me, not even acid rain

Cause I'm a hunter
I'm looking for the love
I'm a hunter
I get curious for the blood
I'm a hunter (hunter)

They call me wildchild, I call them prey.
Cause the sound my heart makes scares them away
Moving mountains, I'm out of my mind
Is this the reason why love is so difficult to find

I'm a hunter
I'm looking for the love
I'm a hunter
The end of my sphere is filled with blood
I'm a hunter (hunter)

The search is fierce
Baby, the storm is near

So bring on the acid rain (hey)
I said bring on the acid rain
Bring on the acid rain (hey)
I said bring on the acid rain

I can write poetry and stories, just not music - as much as I try. If I were to attempt that FAWM thingy it would have to be totally instrumental.

Song #1 - My Body Is A Canvas

We are promises of retracted promise;
Sculpted mannequins with sharper tongues
Words coalesce with breaths of cigarettes to form our iron lungs
We paint the portrait of a people far too smart to act so dumb
And fall too fast over each others' feet
Of who we try not to become

Convict ourselves with raven thoughts and lustful eyes on flesh
And cut the ties that bind our past because it's what we can do best
I let go
And I immersed myself for the capture of such breath
And left the pieces posed in doubt
When there was nothing more left

And all intention in regard: I fashioned myself a sheepskin suit
Every stitch and single flash of tooth just modelled after you
Imitation makes the frame fit best
My body holds that truth
As a canvas blank with baleful waste
And what I've been told I have to do

My FAWM warm-up. Lyk oh-em-gee, my first EVAR solo recording. :D (It's not brilliant, but it actually turned out better than I expected.)

Here's mah new doom song lyrics

The Reaper,Written, arranged, and composed, by Ryland I.A. Wilkins

In the fields of Asphodel
The Reaper swings his scythe
Harvesting human souls
Those afraid of judgement
Blind and decieved
Knowing not what was
Just possibly,the answer

Taken away
From comforts that were known
To take away,the danger
Of what was,The Reaper
Thieves,of life that belonged
To others that may rightfully have earned
The right to call life hell
The misery, of loss and deceit
Belongs to those who lie in fields of unimagined heat
And death will over take those who never welcome it
For learning to live and die is a large part of it
And breaking what may possibly be the known escape
Is foolish now as ever and it is a large mistake

The Reaper comes to ratify the mistakes god has made
He takes them to the fields and cleaves their heads with his blade
The souls have been harvested the story has been told
For those who still are fearing death, he the Reaper shall scold.

I guess the songs about being afraid of death, and death in general, I'm not a good lyricist and a lot of that was off the top of my head.

Overture

In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with a crayon, and the Word was a crayon. A red crayon to be exact. Red like an overcooked lobster from my favorite restaurant, which is Red Lobster. Despite the fact that they overcook their lobsters every now and then they have awesome biscuits. But I digress, where were we? Crayons. We were talking about crayons. This is the overture. I will tell you more about crayons, since I has a crayon.
___

My first stab at writing stuff for FAWM. All this will be recited by Microsoft Sam, while I'm busting out a slightly modified CANDLEMASS riff through a horrible (and I mean horrible) amp. Drums will be absent ovkorpse.

Song #3 - Tangled In The Powerlines

You're fooling no one showing teeth
Spending all your time like those smiles are free
You waste yourself on some deliberate self-made charity case
And leave me tangled in the mess you made
And the strings of words you gave

Still I'll arrest all thoughts in mind
All's left uncertain on both sides
You leave me
Tangled in the powerlines
The meaning sheds out both your eyes
While words do best to hold your pride
You leave me
Tangled in the powerlines
Tangled in the powerlines

Are those secrets the worse you can conceal?
Playing "middleman" in the center of a boring battlefield
Synergy solved and bridges burn
Life's as good as it can be
But clone yourselves
You still won't catch a copycat of me

When there's nothing left to talk about
Doctor, cut me up, take every regret
Tear them all firmly out...
So I can make myself sick but what you install in your "friends"
Is the fading ache of apathy
When your mixed signals can't be read

You hang up all conviction and your tact upon a shelf
You blinded brain now admits no one but yourself

Well, I just spent several hours trying to rig up a vocal recording corner in my room, only to discover a problem, which I eventually chased down to a problem with phantom power on my second mic pre. So I've abandoned vocal recording for today at least, and I'll pop into town tomorrow in search of several items to rig up my corner... Namely a duvet or two, and some kind of method of hanging them up. If only I were allowed to put some hooks in the wall, I could sew some loops into the duvet and just hang it when needed. Maybe a series of sticky-backed hoops... Or maybe I could just record vocals at college. But no, not with having to run back and forth between rooms.

Here's one I wrote. I realize that it may be awful, but I just wanted to post it. Tell me if you like it or not. :D

Try Your Luck
[Verse 1]
End my life, my desire is gone.
Normality has overcome me, I have died
No one has a soul like yours, you fucking liar

God as my witness, death has a face
No time to start over, you fucked up bad
Names are only the beginning, what are yours?

[Pre-chorus 1]
You’re not who I thought you were.
You hatred-filled plastic girl.
Why did your trust leave me?

[Chorus]
So try your luck if you think you had my love.
You did.
Try it, and I’ll give you credit
Try your luck.

[Verse 2]
Never mind your godless world, that’s too fucking fake
Powerless and wonderful, that’s how you wanted life
Taken aback by mainland shit, who the hell is your ruler?

[Pre-chorus 2]
You’re not who I thought you were.
You regurgitated spawn of Judas.
Why did you leave my world of glass?

[Pre Solo Verse (Screamed and Obviously Angry)]
God’s my witness
You’re a hell spawn
We shouldn’t agree
And I don’t fuc*ing regret killing you!

You deserved what you got!
I hope you burn in hell!
I want you bodiless!
And don’t you ever fuck*ng come back!

[Solo]

So yeah, there. I have no idea when I'll record it, it's just lyrics right now, Hah!
Too much leather chair is unsightly and greatly increases your risk of leather-smell.

This is intended as a closer, it's spoken word over instrumental as such at the moment, but I have the whole of february to decide. I just finished it quite quickly today based on the final four lines I found knocking about in my "ideas" folder.

Werewords

The best place to be without a friend
The compulsive need to ask for help
Everyone shrugs it off with ease; they have themselves figured out
Words are all we have to merely pigeonhole the doubt
And friends and drugs compose at best some temporary sense of self
In the end we're searching for the perfect place to hide
A solemn chance to cast the secrets too dark to stay inside;
A place with no grey corners that stay shielded from the light
And the opportunity to address
Without undressing with my eyes
And in every dream of dull escape
I'd still scream out the "I do"
But dreams - they never come true
It'll be the nightmares reminding me of you

Not really doing FAWM but here is my song, well it's just a 30 second snippet but it's alright, I made it with only MIDI and then converted it to MP3 with Itunes.I suck with notating rhythm so f parts sound off beat sorry though it's mainly Guitar Pro's fault. Anyway enjoy, or not lol
