Mind were overjoyed when news reached them that their album,
The Juggernaut, had reached number 24 in the UK charts on its first week of release. To add to that news, their single Divine Usurper also peaked at no. 48 in the UK charts also.
Mind wrote:This is seriously some of the best news we've received as a band. Just to know we have that many fans who are willing to spend money to listen to 4 grubby students from Cambridge shows something, definitely. As for our single, that's also great. We weren't to sure whether to release it or not as a single, but i'm glad we did now. We thank you so much, and we want to let you know we're performing at Mashfest AND Aftermath this summer. Also, remember to vote for us in the Birdies this March. We like winning shit.
As a treat for the fans who downloaded the album from the iTunes, they've given them access to a free download of a new Mind song called
Purest of Souls. The song will not be included on the next album, but was solely made to appetise all the fans who bought it. "We know it'll get leaked" said frontman Jason Smith, "But we want people to be able to download it. And converters don't count. That's just cheating."
Now to the important news for the fans...
