Our first single, the first track we ever recorder actually. Starts off with a real toe tapping drum beat and then bass guitar joins in followed by me playing a few chords and then Chip joins in with his the riff. It's probably my favourate of our songs, the lyrics are about modern day British life and about benefits, cider swigging school children, plastic tramps and orange girls. You have to be a certain age and from a certain background to understand the true meaning of the song.
Answer Me(2:53)
This song I wrote after seeing a friend arguing with his girlfriend about some texts she'd seen on his mobile phone. My mate would just stay quiet and tell her to keep her nose out, well it wasn't as friendly as that. And I just wrote it from that perspective.
Jazz Hand(3:02)
Probably the catchiest of our songs with the least meaning. Really dirty riff from Chip and the bass is pretty groovy. Brought in the keyboard for this tune as well to add a bit of funk to the song.
Pathetic Fallacy(4:01)
Pathetic Fallacy is the term for using the weather to describe peoples emotions. This song is basically just using the weather as a metaphor for the way people feel. I think it's one of my more intelligent pieces of writing.
Three Months(3:33)
This one is about the modern woman, the kind of woman who will be a grandma at 30. The chorus going "She's had three in three months she thinks it's an achievement, the type who flirts with other blokes at family bereavements." It's a pretty bittersweet song as the lyrics are pretty sour but the music is really upbeat. This is also going to be our next single.
Love And Hate(6:01)
This song is about how peoples emotions can be misconcieved. It is probably the most melodic song on the album and goes at a steadier pace than the rest of the songs, it's a kind of lighters in the air song.
By The River(2:58)
Another really catchy riff, about a fella having his heart broken by a girl, by the river. Pretty simple really.
Stereo Boy(2:05)
About something that really gets on my tits. People at the back of the bus playing music on their speakers. Just get some fucking headphones, oh and rid of your Burberry hat and Lacoste tracksuit. So yeah, a song I feel very strongly about.
Pussy In The Trifle(4:46)
Little bit of a childish song, one that I wrote a few years back when I was at my Nan's house and her and my mother were discussing a certain woman who's house they would never eat at, 'cause she picks her arse or sumert. Anyway then they said that once they found a cat in the trifle. Now, me being me, I misunderstood this phrase, and decided to write a comedic song on it. Pretty funny lyrics, one that is enjoyed at gigs.
Town In Recluse(8:42)
Another one about the modern era, really concluding the albums meaning on a whole, about how people are becoming more and more reclusive and wanting to stay indoors, to watch T.V., to play games, to surf the internet(OOC: wow how hypocritical). Just me rebelling against the current culture. But yeah I real cracker
