Just been on the actual game and it says if you donate £5 you can get 300 points for you character. Is anybody gonna do that, it seems a bit unfair to give people who are willing to pay extra points. The reason i like the game is that everybody gets the same amount of points so it's kind of a level playing field. |

The idea is that I host the game for free - and if anyone is willing to be generous enough to contribute to the £60 a month the game costs to run then I'm willing to compensate them with 300 points (which is equivalent to 6.25 days of playing).
If nobody bothers after a week I'll take it off!
Wasn't sure whether to offer points as it's something I've never done before - might change my mind this evening - just look at it as a thank you.

I think its a good idea, and I probably would do it but I live in the usa and I dont know if paypal does the dollar to euro conversion for you or what I would have to do. If you could put a link for US users as well, you would have a larger chance to get some money...then again I dont know how you would use a dollar in the UK...ugg |

I did? I can't remember!
Oops!
Might have been 'go ad free and get x points' and was a monthly or three monthly thing?

It seems that the feedback thing is starting to get put into action with the "Recent Forum Posts" being added onto the login screen. It's a small thing but it's a good thing. |

This is actually pretty standard fair for most of the online games I've seen that operate on some sort of "action points." Surprised I haven't seen it sooner. I will certainly consider a one time "donation" |
I hate signatures, but I love you.

How soon after donating do you have to wait for the points just out of interest? |

I have been playing this game for four years and the only way I'll donate if the game has some upgrades. The feedback page has some real good ideas. Like albums with more than ten songs and genre charts. |

I own a virtual server which costs me 9€ a month and fits my needs perfectly... I don't know the market in GB, but I think for 10£ you can find some decent stuff. Is the database for the game or its used bandwidth so large it needs a dedicated server? If I were you I'd think of switching to a cheaper solution if you can't grant yourself a more stable way of income from the game... especially if the alternative is shutting it down!

Not sure if I'm correct, but TRSG is only one of your projects, isn't it Carl? That could be why. |
