I'm sure most people on here will probably say no to liking Beyonce. I personally love her and think she's the greatest thing to walk this earth since "Jesus" but hai, what do I know :)

Mt. Epic wrote:so you like the arctic monkeys AND beyonce? hmmm, I'm starting to think you're daniel Yes, because it's so unlikely that two or more individuals can like two rather popular artists/groups. Anyway. No, I cannot say I am a fan of Beyonce. And why? Well, I can only say that her solo songs don't do anything for me. I didn't mind a few Destiny's Child songs here and there, but I just find Beyonce's solo stuff to be, on the whole, a bit irritating. |

Beyonce's one of the biggest if not the biggest Female pop stars in the world. Destiny's Child were big, but Beyonce's massive. |

I'm not a fan of Beyonce but she's probably the best at making radio friendly pop songs. |

Yeah she may be massive in the sense she has loads of fans and is known world-wide, but her solo music isn't as successful really, she has only had 2 UK number ones and the rest of the new album has been a flop in the charts, because its not mainstream as much as Destinys Child. Lots of people only like the Destinys Child stuff for that reason. Her tours we're outsold by Britney.

I liked half of "I AM... SASHA FIERCE". (Exactly half. In the 16-track edition I got, the first CD.) The first CD is more true to herself - the second is more true to her bastardisation of the word "fierce" and getting cheapo radio fame. It's a good thing (well, for her) that the singles were a bit of both, getting a wider fanbase. (: Edited by user 19 February 2010 02:28:25(UTC)

If only for the audacity of calling itself R&B when R&B already exists and has done for fucking decades and is awesome. |

Lots of people only like the Destinys Child stuff for that reason. Her tours we're outsold by Britney. Hardly, just because she hasn't had number ones in UK doesn't mean she's not successful. She's had five Hot 100 number 1 singles joint with Rihanna as the most number ones in the decade, and Billboard named Beyonce as the top female artist of the decade and the RIAA said she was the best selling artist of the decade - AND she was the Best Paid celebrity under 30 between 2008 and 2009. She won SIX grammy awards for I Am... Sasha Fierce. It sold half a million copies within the first week of sales and it's sold over six million copies worldwide, and three of the singles are multi-platinum selling, and the album it self went platinum in 13 different countries. Hardly what I'd call a flop. And btw, thank you Wikipedia (: |

I mean in the UK, alot of her new stuff isn't given the credit it is elsewhere... I'm noit saying she is a flop, I don't think she is, She is amazing, and has like 18 grammys altogether!
