Erik Leif, now all grown up, has been sighted back in the studio. Without his old band. He has been laying down some tracks for a "crazy new debut". He was recently interveiwed by the Ney York Times:
So you've been back in the studio, what are you working on right now?I'm actually working on my crazy new debut album, I don't play as much guitar as I used to, but there will be some awesome riffs. It's not quite as heavy as V11's stuff was, but I always liked glam more, but don't think there won't be any heavy stuff *laughs*.
What inspired you to get back in the studio?Well, after Volume 11 took a "hiatus", which, by the way, is bullsh*t, we broke up and James didn't want to say that. The others don't have any plans for getting back in the studio anytime soon, but I couldn't
wait to get back to work though. I'm having alot of fun.
Any touring plans?Since I only plan on releasing the album in the US, I'm planning a tour around the USA, starting at the Paramount Theater in Seattle where I saw
my first concert. It won't be happeneing anytime soon though.
What about the incomplete VXI II double album? There's not a chance that I'm finishing that or joining Volume 11 again. If they want to finish that, they have to do it with another lead guitar.
