Bruce Springsteen, went watching him at Hyde Park this year, unbelievably good.

Went watching Oasis at Heaton Park, they were real quality as well, completely different gig to Springsteen, but really good.

Worst performance I've ever watched was The Killers when I went to T In The Park. They are crap.

I agree, they were so much better some years back when they still were new, but damn Brandon Flowers is a weirdo.

Green Day are an aweful band IMO... THey do all those stunts like letting the audience stagedive, have them on stage to do crazy stuff, just to cover up all their crappy songs.. Muse are a hundred percent better than these guys..

And almost 0% of the shows I go to. The only stagedives I remember were at Boris and Sunn O))) & Boris . And that was the drummer. All three times.

Well, maybe it's more like 80% of shows I go to. Still, it happens at lots of them.

See I think the same thing about Muse. They use all the flashing lights and shit to make them seem good. They're okay, just not what everyone makes them out to be.

Muse have always been great in live performances, even during the showbiz era, the time when they were still a small band making their way through the music industry....They are really good musically that's why they have won numerous awards for being the best live act.. I always liked Green Day, until American Idiot came out and I hated them even more with 21st Century Breakdown..

That's a shitty argument, Green Day win plenty of best live band accolades too.

Amazing night.

yeah... but in that song how much effort do the bad put in really?

at least James Brown went at it 100% every time all the time!! (and yes i have seen him live)

Well, that's one song they played at the gig so I don't quite see how you can accuse them of not putting in effort. The point of posting that was to show how much emotion they could stir up in so many people just by one man sitting on a stage playing a guitar, the rest of the performance was class to.

Also, Kasabian were fucking awesome, so much energy.

Reverend and the Makers... weren't.

Best live band I've seen has changed since I last posted here. The Drums, a small-ish band from New York who I saw a few weeks ago would probably now be my favourite. They just brought this energy with them that no other band I've seen has - not all jumping around etc. - but their power was probably through the simplicity of their music and the way it was performed. People in the crowd were stood listening, rather than shoving each other about, but everyone was having a great time. I'd love to see them again some time soon.

The band I'd like to see live the most is The Cure. I think it's rare that a band that have been going as long as they have are still producing and performing great music, so I'd love to see them.

Brandon Flowers is okay at singing. I like The Killers and I know all their songs because they were my first favorite band when I first started interest in music when I was little. So I am what you could call a devoted fan of theirs. They are better than most junk nowadays, but they experiment too much and Flower's voice can't transfer from a synthpop song like "Smile Like You Mean It" to an American heartland rock song like "Uncle Johnny" to a song that sounds like it missed the new wave era like "Human" to a jazz tune like "Joy Ride" to a Mexican Mariachi song like "Happy Birthday Guadalupe!" in a matter of four years. It just doesn't happen. They were first all synthpop-y and all classy adorable innocent boys, then went to these hard-to-the-bone Wild West rockers, to strange crazy feather-wearing dancers, to crossing the border from the US to Mexico.

I saw him a few months before he died when he came to IU. He was fantastic even at like 72. It was probably the most exciting, energetic, and fun show I have ever been to.
