Charlotte NC-The Voyd just released a press release stating there attentions .for not believing in the IMAs. We have formally decided to deny any invitations to the IMAs. We feel with the current system they have that people seem to care about the true value of music. We feel that music should come from the soul and not worrying about the fame. Even though our Record Label is a big supporter of this, we can not give involved with something that we truly do not believe in. We feel that the music industry has lost its place. Possibly if an awards ceremony was not about politics and crooked ways then we would feel honored to have a chance to even be considered but we have decided to state that we will not accept nor show up to any such thing.Front man Andrew Hayes was later asked about how he felt about the Birdies. "I think the Birdies is a load of crap. We are new to the scene but all I see is a bunch of people whining about 'Oh nominate me for best newcomer because our album made the top 40 in the UK. Come on. Het over it. We have albums and singles in the top 20 but you don't see us asking judges to pick us. As true musicians we believe our music will be respected on its own. Don't be a cunt, mate. Just because people are begging to get in doesn't mean they will. The judges do value music, as far as I have seen, looking upon previous Birdies. And just because you don't enjoy it doesn't mean you have to be a drama queen about it.
Oh, so sorry for being "low" enough to "beg" for our nominations. We're not worthy, master.

Stephanie Fierce went through this phase. But the difference was that she felt winning awards would complicate her career. Since the more successful you get the more haters you get. But she got over it and realized that the “haters” are not worth it. And while the process of it all might be awkward, it makes your haters more mad so it’s worth it. And it’s not like is easy to win one anyway. It’s all for fun and for achievements man it ain't that serious.

~Tim How am I being a drama queen about it. I don't believe in the system. You can not achieve success by a trophy win. If that was possible then I must be the best baseball player in the world for my MVP award I got in rec. baseball. -Angel Well Stephanie was a great artist no matter what. Haters come and go and we respect her for standing up at one time about this issue. Either way we still feel that it's not worth it.OCC: I decided that this is my opportunity to truly step my foot into the world in TRSG world and have some actual exciting RPing going on at least for me. Heck I rather be the band that everyone hates then gushes over ;) |

Judges are unlikely to have the time and/or stamina to go trawling through a ton of threads to pick. So, if you write here, in a nutshell (or maybe the whole nut if you're really going for it), what you want to achieve and why you should, then you're much more likely to get your nominations.
2. It's true, nobody likes a showoff. But we make exceptions here - a good cocky, shameless show-off of a roleplay is GOOD! Remember, YOU ARE THE BEST! Also, DON'T GET ME FUCKING STARTED on what I do for the IMAs. It's fucking destructive that I do this. The last Birdies I didn't have a stress seizure on the day of was the 11th IMAs - the last Birdies in which I had no involvement in the running of. As per usual, next bump I get on my head is named after you, -OOC.bikz.x |
