All Be Damned - This song is a quick rocker with a fast paced guitar solo and the lyrics talk about a man who is having the strangest day imaginable and every weird thin that can happen is happening to him. A powerful beat and a comedic element make this one a fun track to listen to.
Alimony Blues - Another fun one, this one is about a man who cant afford his lunch cause his money all goes to his wife who left him, lots of wordplay and jokes with a smooth blues riff that plays steadily into a solo towards the end.
Bitter Sweet Bliss - This is the standout track of the album, a rock song that is barren of flair and power its about a man who loses his loved ones but gains control of the world and the pain he still has no matter what he does. Suicide it the theme of the last verse. Powerful music that is plain and controlled but emphasis's the mood.
Time Left to Kill - This one is about an old man who thinks his life is pointless as he cant do what he used to love, until he decides that there is time left. This is a classic Rockers tune with the usual beat but with a twisty solo at the end that mixes things up.
Stars Shine Dim Tonight - This is a moving ballad about two who loved their whole lives but didnt realize it until they were 80 years old. A great little song that has power in the voice and piano.
Time for Me to Go - The goodbye song that explains it all. This song is about a man who realizes he is the reason for his wifes suffering and decides the right thing to do is to leave her be. A sad one but with some great guitar.
Powerful Love of Hate - A typical message song about Earth and People that pleas for forgiveness and love of each other, sounds like a Beatles tune.
People All Around - This is a song about the world we live in and how small we are. A man stands in a crowd and watches as people go about their lives. The singer describes different people and what they do wrong. Guitar solo that shred fast and hard with a drum beat that is strong and deep.
Half My Life Gone - Another sad one that explains Johnny Johnson's feeling on his life. Good and bad he sings about getting older, losing freinds and family but pushing forward. Smooth piano and a touching solo that sounds like the trickle of a stream.
Many Paths (The End is Everywhere) - The look on the future and what is to come. A smooth ballad about a man looking at his options and his roads he can take but always wanting the one he just got off of. This song is the epitome of 20 years of Rockers work and it blends every style they are known for and puts them into one farewell romp of a rock tune.
Check back on March 31st for the finale of The Rockers, their last concert! It will be great.
