I'm doing the same, I actually went to a nutritionist.
1.NO SODA, only drink stuff under 20 calories, preferably 10.
2.Weight training can help you lose weight and at the same time make you look better in general, you could turn your tit flab into tit MUSCLE!
3.Exercise regularly,whether it's walking or running,take stairs,you need to get exercise anhour a day at least.
4.Try not to eat fatty foods, and just because you eat a salad doesn't make it healthy, thousand island dressing is nothing but fat and cholesterol.
That's all I got.
Jeez you sound like a self help book (;
Okay cheers mate, that sounds easy enough, seeing as I drink a can of Coke every morning :L I have amazing willpower, should be achievable (:
Similar to what Nimrods said, mind. Here's my advice...
1. Correct, no soda. Nothing with carbon dioxide in it, in fact, as rule of thumb. Most have stupidly high sugar amounts in, and anything that doesn't, has either Aspartame or Acesulfame K in, which cause you to become wiiiiide in no time. On that note, no energy drinks either. Make sure you get 8 glasses of water a day. On top of losing weight at a safe pace, your skin will also thank you as it'll flush all the shit out. If you wanna go one better, get some green tea, and have one cup when you wake up, and one after dinner. It's an excellent detox, and causes your metabolism to kick in, work faster, and burn more calories. Oh, and cut out standard tea and coffee too, that helps. Caffeine, ironically enough, slows your metabolism.
2. If you can, go vegetarian or vegan. I did temporarily, though as a pescatarian. I'm not really so religiously devout to it anymore, mind. More importantly, cut red meat out of your diet, and replace the protein with white meats such as chicken, and also eat more fish if you're inclined to do so. The essential oils in fish are also good for your hair, nails, and body as a whole. If you can't avoid red meats, then take off skin, fat, trimmings, and all you can. They're the worst parts.
3. Goodbye chocolate. That's all I'll say on that one. No confectionary as a whole if you can bother, it just creates needless cravings, and is deliberately made up to make you want to eat more, because the food industry as a whole is a very cunning one. Same for items of food containing MSGs. Welcome to high levels of saturates and a slow metabolism.
4. Don't eat shitloads throughout the day. Breakfast, lunch and dinner are ALL important staples, so make sure you eat a stable amount at each period of the day. You can allow yourself small snacks in between though, but anything above 200 calories is usually quite a bad idea.
Any additional tips border on unsafe, because you're talking to me, and I used a lot more tactics than that to lose about 2 stone overall in a VERY short space of time for what it was, so I'm not condoning those unless you actually are interested. But good luck.
