Elliot and Troy are both uncles, and they're still teens, so no reason to feel old.
Congratulations to the lucky sibling! (: |

Now the most important decision of uncling: the type of uncle you will be. There are several options, and you can mix and match, but a few of the more popular uncles are:
1. The Weird/Nerdy Uncle: You still play tabletop games and pen & paper RPGs and make sure to try to bring this up fairly often. You have huge, thick glasses. You still have an unhealthy obsession with things like Sci-fi novels/comics/fantasy novels/etc. Always wears a fanny pack and a t-shirt with some Star Wars/Star Trek/comic/etc. reference on it. Generally you embarrass your niece/nephew at every opportunity.
2. The Cool Uncle: You are the person the niece/nephew comes to to deal with problems. They look to you when they need to score some beer or when they need someone to act on their behalf when they screw up. You try to talk their parents out of severely punishing them when they screw up. Although you think you are cool, they are still in fact embarrassed by you, and won't spend time with you beyond scoring beer or saving them from their parents.
3. The Pick-Up Uncle: A lot of women are into men with a caring, compassionate, fatherly quality and a lot also seem to love babies. You know this and use it to your full advantage. You use your infant niece or nephew as a free conversation starter, making sure to casually mention that he/she is only your nephew/niece and you don't have kids. You do your best to come off as compassionate and ready to party. After the child has grown up a bit they become less useful in this role and thus the amount of times you take them to the mall or babysit them steadily decreases. |

Aged 25 it kind of hits home that life is infact moving quickly...ish. and i don't know if its a boy or girl yet.... just got a text last night from parents saying sister was in the last stages of labour... not heard anything else since. |
