I don't know what I could be posting, so I thought of posting about Gorillaz new album, Plastic Beach... What do you think of the album? Personally, I didn't like the album at all, but after a few days of continuously listening to the songs, it grew on me... Favorite Tracks: Superfast Jellyfish On Melancholy Hill Stylo |

I love it. Superfast Jellyfish is awesome. Also Glitter Freeze. Oh, and Army Ants. Oh, Stylo and On Melancholy Hill. White Flag. Rhinestone Eyes. To Binge. Some Kind of Nature... Pretty much the whole thing.
Sort of confused when people get albums and say "oh, I didn't like it at first, but then I kept listening and now I love it." That's the way it should be with all music. |

I was comparing it with the first two albums, the moment I listened to both I fell in love instantly, unlike Plastic Beach, but still an awesome album! |

Such a brilliant album, On Melancholy Hill is my favourite track. I got it when it came out and I haven't been able to stop listening. |

I got the first two at round about the same time, probably 2005/2006, and I didn't really get into them properly for months, aside from some of the singles (DARE and Dirty Harry in particular). It was somewhat outside my general area of musical interest at the time, so it took a while to get grounded in it. Now that I am grounded, took me all of two listens to be hooked on Plastic Beach. |

Personally, I liked their other songs better. Stylo was a horrible choice for the first single, but I do like Superfast Jellyfish and Some Kind of Nature. Maybe this is one of those albums that has to grow on you. |

If you wanted a Gorillaz single with Bobby Womack, they should've then chosen "clouds of unknowing" as the first single. "Stylo" was really boring and repetitive for me. |

True dat, but Stylo to me is just, well, unamusing. Like "White Lights", "O Green World", even "Feel Good Inc", those songs have a distinct feel in that. They give you an emotion, but "Stylo". First time I heard it, by the end of the song, I completely forgot it was even playing. It just didn't impact me in any way. |

On the contrary, I have that bassline going round in my head all day, and that sweep, and then Bobby Womack goes "YEAH THIS LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOVE IS ELECTRIC!" over and over and over again. |

Like I said before, this album is one of those that have to grow on you, or at least me. |

A great album, but I do feel it's missing the playful fun that permeated the self-titled debut. |
The Disstopian The Disstopian is simultaneously bringing hiphop back to its root and launching it into the future. |
