Information
Thunder Road are an American Rock Band from Red Bank, New Jersey. The band members decided to form the band in June 2009 and quickly formed a fanbase with the help of MySpace, they also created new fans from touring small clubs in the USA and they were signed by Junction Records in May 2010. It's reported that they are set to start writing material for their debut album but they have stated that they won't be rush releasing their debut album.
Lead Singer Brian Richards said that the band wants to go on tour as a support act before they release their debut album. It’s expected that Thunder Road will support the 4th Street Band on their US tour from August - November 2010.

Record Deal
They were spotted by an A&R man for Junction Records called Greg Walls in October 09 and he spoke to Max Armstrong about them and the next show they performed at in New Jersey, Max was in the crowd and he met the band after the performance and spoke about signing them. He then met up with the band within two weeks at a record studio and heard some rough demo's which was enough to make him decide to sign them to his label.
After they signed their record deal they began working on potential songs for their debut album. They decided that the best thing to do was go on tour in support of another band which they have been considering. They said they want to enhance their reputation before releasing their debut album. It was announced that they would be supporting 4th Street Band on their upcoming tour of USA from August - November 2010, As support act they will be playing in venue's they wouldn't be able to fill as a headline act, Brian Richards said "It's a great thing to be asked to support 4th Street Band and the fact that we're gonna be playing places like Madison Square Gardens scares the shit out of me".

Band Members
Brian Richards - Lead Vocals, Songwriter, Guitar, Piano, Harmonica
Pete Green - Guitar, Backing Vocals
Adam Kramer - Bass, Backing Vocals
Taylor Williams - Drums, Percussion

UPDATE
We've been hard at work, touring and recording whenever we could get the chance. We now have a solid idea of what songs will be on the album. In truth we've got 30 songs to choose from but I'm pretty sure we've got the 10 songs for the album. There's a few songs which our fans will have heard live like, Brothers In Arms, Here's Johnny!, Rooftops & Teardrops and Starry Eye's & Blood Red Sky's.
Once the tour is over we'll be 100% commited to recording our debut album.

This is fantastic news! Before I came to New York I saw a show with you guys. I'm not gonna lie I almost dropped the acoustic guitar for an electric guitar.

"Ok guys, The album is now released. Sorry about the lack of promotion, that's partly down to me not wanting any special treatment for the album. The numbers are in as are the charts and it has been an incredible response, I'm very proud of how well the album has done and thanks to everyone who bought it."

Brian: I'm glad you enjoyed it, We kinda dropped the ball with the lack of promotion and stuff, I didn't want it to be a high profile release but hopefully the fans will be aware of it's release now.
