COVERFIELD 2010
The History - In the Spring of 2008, Genocidal Music Group, fronted by CEO Hugh Marvin, decided to create a festival that would be almost like a warm up to all the others in the summer.
Hugh wanted his festival to be fun, wacky, and laid back, with the main aim to get the bands involved with other summer festivals (and even those who weren't) a chance to warm up and practice in front of a large crowd, before the serious festivals started in the summer!
The idea for Coverfield was simple. Bands play as another band (i.e play as a cover band) and get the chance to play some of their all time favourite songs in front of huge crowds whilst under no real pressure.
The festival also hosts a fun fair for the fans (and bands), and various other great activities, making Coverfield a great place to be!
NOW, after a two year absence, GMG are proud to present COVERFIELD 2010!!

It's great to have the chance to put on the festival again! After the success of 2008, we wanted it to be a yearly venture. However, in the fear that perhaos the novelty would wear of slightly, we decided to hang off and make Coverfield a bi-annual event.
This year's festival will take place at Glasgow's BELLAHOUSTON PARK, and will take place on Saturday and Sunday 5TH AND 6TH OF JUNE 2010!!
SIGN UPS FOR COVERFIELD 2010 ARE NOW OFFICIALLY OPEN. BANDS CAN APPLY TO PLAY BY EMAILING MYSELF!!
OOC: PLEASE PM ME FOR APPLICATIONS TO COVERFIELD, INSTEAD OF POSTING IN HERE, makes it better for announcements of headliners et al.
PM me the name of your band, as well as the name of the band you would like to play as (eg - Blood Of Wecz, as Metallica (not really, just an example) |

Good evening, guys and gals.
I know you have all been patiently awaiting the announcement from us about who will be playing Coverfield 2010 and who they'll be playing as!
Well....the wait is almost over...check back on this very site on Wednesday evening, where we shall exclusively reveal the first FIVE performers at Coverfield 2010!

The management of Coverfield 2010 would like to thank everyone for their patience in waiting for the announcement on bands that will be playing at Coverfield this June!
The first 5 acts announced, randomly picked from the list of performers are as follows :
