In my opinion i honestly think it's betwenn MCR, (Old)P!ATD, and (Old) FOB The reason i said old FOB and P!ATD is because new FOB SUCKS ASS and new P!ATD was ok New Perspective was better just wish these two would go back to old sound
but thats just me... how bout you |
MY ARTISTS hindsight. |

Most pop punk is horrible in my opinion. But the best without a doubt would have to be Green Day they brought it to the mainstream, impact wise for bands that actually sound near them Blink 182 or something but to me they all sound like All Time Low and Fallout Boy hence I hate them. |
The Nimrods (Progressive Death Metal,Progressive Metal,Progressive Rock.Think Opeth/Dream Theater/Tool/Pink Floyd) Jimmy Him- Lead Guitar,Vocals,Primary Songwriter Davey Matlock- Bass,Guitars,Vocals,Primary Songwriter Kit Saunders- Drums, additional percussion Jaska Latvala- Rhythm Guitar,Vocals,Primary Songwriter Jack Burton- Keyboards,Keytar Satyr in the Frost(Melodic Black Metal, think Satyricon/Mayhem/Early Dimmu Borgir/Immortal) Sigmund-Vocals and Rhythm guitar Celt-Drums Saxon-Lead Guitar Sauron-Keyboard Gris-Bass Rincewind wrote:The Nimrods wrote:I knew you'd be back! *cries* now now, *hugs and steals wallet* xNightsidex wrote:Oops I stumbled over and hit the "extend ban" button. I've noticed that all pop punk bands are different. Blink 182 are all skater pop punk, and Green Day is rather more on the pure alternative rock side of pop punk, The Offspring are leaning on a hard rock sort of pop punk, Cobra Starship is dance, Fallout Boy is emo pop/pop rock, and all the others are followers of these bands. |

Well early-mid 90s offspring would be hardcore and Blink is pretty much just pure pop rock |

All Time Blow .... nothing personal. (I love 'em, and You Me At Six. I used to listen to a lot of Blink 182 in the Enema/TOYPAJ era, couldn't be arsed after that, and Green Day were good pre-American Idiot, after which I definitely couldn't be arsed.) |

American Idiot gets a lot of shit but honestly I don't think it was that bad. The title track, blvd of broken dreams,a wake me up when september ends are pretty bad but the rest of the songs are pretty decent. |

I got into Green day on American Idiot, I think it's decent. As for the best pop punk bands... most suck, but I listen to a few that may be categorized as pop punk. I think Taking Back sunday is pretty good, their stuff before Louder Now was definatley pop punk, and their new stuff could be put in that category also. I just got into Incubus, I doubt you would call them pop punk though. Green Day is good, Blink is ok, I never got into them. Other then that, I like THe Academy Is.. for some reason, mainly their old stuff though. Then there is Good Charlotte they have amazing songs and crappy songs, mostly crappy songs though, but I'd certainly rate them above FOB and Panic. |
I might give Satan a swirly |

Green day are my fave band so I have to say them.Blink-182 are a good band.Enema of the state and TOYPAJ were kick-ass records.Blink-182(self-titled album)was just disapointing.Violence was one of the shitest songs I've heard. They better not fuck up the latest album or I'll be pissed.
Green Day have moved on to Alt-Rock.21st CB was ok.Horseshoes and Handgrenades was the best.American idiot gets a lot of shit On it's part.American idiot was AWESOME.Green Day were always a pop punk band early on.

Blink 182 without a shadow of a doubt are/were the best...Green Day pre-American Idiot were all right...some Fall Out Boy is good, a lil bit Youmeatsix isnt too bad, I can listen to the likes of 30 seconds to mars...and my two ultimate guilty pleasures these days are All Time Low and Paramore |
