Hahahah, I have no idea which ones are lager and which are 'real' beers. So far I like Heineken (although I don't drink much because it's really expensive around here) and this brazilian brand: But I don't know, they seem all the same to me too :P |

really? ok Lager was originally a black German beer.. the main difference between Lager and British Ale is the fermentation process... Lagers ferment from the bottom of the brewing vent up... Ales ferment from the top down.
the fist clear lager was brewed by a brewery in Pilsner hence the reason why the proper name for lager is a pilsner beer.... that company is still going and is called pilsner urquel... insidently that brewery was located in the chec republic... the same place as budwieser (budvar) and don't get me started on American Budwierser...
lager is a light hoppy beer IPA is similar but with a deaper taste and not as much fizz, was originally brewed for the British troops stationed in india.. hence the name Indian Pale Ale Porter is a mish mash of different brewing styles drank by the hotel porters in London in the 1800's Stout (ie Guinness) is a more alcoholic version of Porter. then you have burtonised water, brown ale styles etc etc |

I heard Guinness is made of animal bones. Truth or myth? I was going to try it once, but I didn't because of that :( |

a proper beer to drink in Brazil that you could find? i would highly recomned Budwierser Budvar (not the American beer but the Czceh) http://www.budweiserbudvar.co.uk/or an IPA which is harder to recomend as ive no idea which ones would be avaliable over there... probably some nice small American brewery ones though... maybe a steam anchor beer or two as well.... if you could get your hands on a raspberry or a lemon lambic beer i reckon you would love it! |

guinness is only a stout porter... IE a stronger version of the porter burnt barley beer....
its nice but there are better beer styles out there, and better versions of Stout as well.. for example an Imperial russian stout... 13% of alcoholic beuty! |

stephaniewazhere wrote:It's all about water! Yeah, there's water in beer! :P Thanks Rince, I'm sure to check out if there are any of these in my city. I think I saw Budwierser Budvar once, but I don't remember if it was the American or Czech. On my teacher's pub there are all these beers, but only people with more than 18 years old can get in (and it's really expensive haha) =/ I don't think I'll try the Imperial Russian Stout, 13% is just too much for me :P |

I do know that fish scales are involved (or again, used to be involved) in the distillation of some types of (Scotch) whisky. I can't remember what for exactly. |

I was halfway to getting drunk here. I do like this picture, because it was a spontaneous photograph. The kind that normally makes me look like a total retard, or totally stoned. |
