Biography
Formed in early 2010, with little information known about the new project for Kieran Marks, formerly of The Verdict Is Vengeance and The Reject Message. Zzzonked are a metalcore band, containing Kieran Marks, Matthew Broderick, Toby Coyte-Broomfield, Isaac Steen and Andy Hayley. After being friends since secondary school, they have been playing music together, firstly in music lessons, and then whenever they could all meet up. After releasing the debut album 'Crowded Rooms' in July 2010, and touring the UK in support of it, the band decieded to go on hiatus to focus on other projects and find new inpisiration for songs. The band returned under the name of Behind The Tides without Andy Hayley as drummer/percussionist, and with a different idea of what genre they wanted.

"We've just announced that we will be going on tour from the 10th of March until the 25th of March, we have had these plans for many months now, and are glad to be letting the fans finally discover our real sound. I'm looking forward to playing to the crowds, big or small, just as long as you make some noise, and have fun, I don't care" - Kieran Marks (Vocals)

"We also hope that you enjoy the supporting acts I Spy Mudkipz, a new rave band, and Counting Down, a metalcore act like us, it's a big chance to show ourselves before we go on into the studio" - Andy Hayley (Drums)

"We're in the studio recording tracks for our debut album, if you saw us on the Live To Die Tour then you'll already have heard the tracks Buring Your Heart and Numbers Count For Nothing Here. We've started recording these two songs, and shall be releasing them one of them for free." - Kieran (Vocals)

"The album does not have a title or any artwork yet, but we've got some basic ideas that we are considering using" - Isaac (Bass)

"The downloads for the single have been going insane over the past 5 days, thanks for the support. Hope you've liked the song and all the different versions, we've been spending more time recording and talking with some old friends of mine Reckoner and they will be featuring on one of the songs from the album, we aren't sure which yet, more details soon. Keep downloading and listening, the support from you means everything" - Kieran (Vocals)

Plans for the album have been put on hold due to our now former label Suicide Records closing down, we are four weeks into our studio time, and have been wanting to get the album completed before going on a tour in May with some pretty amazing bands, more details on that when we can offically announce who we are touring with. We shall be attempting to find a label over the next week so we can continue recording the album without worrying about having to delay the release date. - Kieran (Vocals)

We are also planning for another gig in London to give us a break from recording, we will inform you of the date, the supporting acts and the venue when they have all been confirmed. - Matthew (Guitar)

We are going to be playing at Chinnery's, Southend today, we would have given more warning but the venue is only small and we want to see if we can sell out the venue without advertising weeks before. Before and after the gig we will be around Southend so if your fans come and have a chat with us, we'll sign and take pictures and all the normal stuff. We have been recording more of our album without a label as of yet, we are thinking about self releasing the album if we cannot get signed by the end of the month. - Kieran (Vocals)

Over the past three weeks we have been spending 100% of our time recording and mastering songs for the album, during this time we have also got a deal with a small record label based in America called Ready, Set, Go! Records. The album is in the final stages, with 8 out of the 10 songs recorded plus songs for our first offical single release from this album, the song 'She's The Laughter In Slaughter', a remix of the song and a cover of HTML Rulez D00D by The Devil Wears Prada, it's going to be released 21st of May. - Kieran (Vocals)

She's The Laughter In Slaughter [Single]
Tracklist;
1. She's The Laughter In Slaughter
2. HTML Rulez D00D (The Devil Wears Prada Cover)
3. She's The Laughter In Slaughter (Nux Remix)
Release Date: 21th May

We have finished recording every track for the album, it's a pretty good album and we hope that you all like it as much as we do, the title of the album is 'Crowded Rooms' which also has had the album artwork completed, it's crazy the amount of work that has been done over the past few weeks. The sales of She's The Laughter In Slaughter' have been amazing getting us into the top 40, and the feedback for the cover of 'HTML Rulez D00D' has been equally amazing. We are making plans for a tour of the UK and then Europe for July and August, right now we are looking for supporting acts of any genre of music, just get in contact with us and we'll put you in the line-up. The album's current release date is 21st July, but this is subject to change. The full tracklist is going to be shown bellow

The supporting acts for the Crowded Rooms UK tour have been conformed as Act Of God, Thenebrion, Infinite and Alex P. We hope you’ll enjoy seeing them as much as we will whilst playing with them. We have also had our album reviewed for the first time, you can see the review HERE. We’re still deciding on the second single from Crowded Rooms, and will tell you as soon as we know.

Over the past few days we have been seeing reviews of our album, the majority of it seems to be possitive with some small comments about certain songs. It's hard to please everyone I guess. Only a few more days till Crowded Rooms is offically released and we go on a tour around the UK in support of it. We've already started writing parts for our next album, but we don't plan on doing much with these ideas until we are sure what we are doing after we have finished supporting and releasing singles from Crowded Rooms. The next few months could fire us into the mainstream metal scene, or prove that we need to work from a different angle.

Well the album was released yesterday and the feedback from you guys has been crazy. We're glad you actually like the majority of the songs, even if they aren't what you expected. Over the next few days we are going to have signings in different HMV's across the UK so come and have a quick chat with us, we are more than happy to see our fans. Our tour starts in 4 days, we've got some surprises for you.

We're back from touring, thanks to everyone who came to a show and sang along with us. It was a great time for us as a band, and we've now got some news that some fans might not like. Although we have only just started as a band, we are going on a break, how long for we aren't sure. We will be back, but need to try some new ideas and get more inspiration for our next album. You'll all be kept updated on each of our new projects. Keep listening to our music and we'll be back as soon as we feel ready.

- Kieran, Matthew, Toby, Isaac, Andy
