John Turner - Bassist, Back Up Vocals

History:
Fear started off after a tragic suicide death of their previous singer Robert. The bands name was Thin Lines back then. After the death of him the band recruited Logan Spills to add something different into their sound. Alex Sin was addicted to pills and weed back then also a heavy drinker so he was real depressed about his friend. He took up the vocal sport and Paul Reeves took up the second vocalist spot. The band recreated a new sound which was like a very dark grunge mixed with alternative rock such as The Cure and a very experimental influence was also in the mix. The band wrote some depressing songs. After going on and releasing 4 albums they decided to break up. Well they thought. They reunited after Alex did a solo career, Paul as well, and John and Logan doing a side-project. After that the band came back to release their best and very experimental album ever called "House Of Leaves". It remains a classic till this day and after the tour the band lost touch. Paul, Logan, and Mark went on to form the experimental punk rock band The Waiting Room while Alex went back to his solo career. Now they have reunited to do some dates. It has been word that they will not record a new album however they were considering it and might change their minds.

Q&A w/ Fear:
Q: Is Fear touring this Fall?
A: Yes. In fact we'll go ahead and announce who. We should be touring with Fathom if everything is still okay with this guy trying to kill Skye.

Q: Will Fear record a new album?
A: We have thought about it a lot recently but so far it has been a NO. Due to wanting to focus on our new stuff we got going on.

Q: What's with Mark leaving The Waiting Room?
A: He left to drum for Alex.

Q: Are you guys planning any new releases like a live album or a B-Sides album?
A: Like a new studio album, we have indeed thought about this. We had footage and recordings of our last performance at Midwinter Mashfest 08 but lost it.

Q: What are all the members up to?
A: Alright lets break it down:
Alex - Making solo music again. In fact he released his long awaited 5th solo album the other day called "XO".
Logan - Playing guitar and the keyboard for The Waiting Room
Paul - Singing and playing guitar for The Waiting Room
Mark - Playing drums live for Alex Sin.
John - Producing music. He's actually on the producing team for producing Vincent Hales Bunker 18 debut album.

Q: Why did the band break up for good after The House Of Leaves Album?
A: We all felt as if there isn't any reason to. We out did ourselves and pushed ourselves so hard on our last album that we really felt like "What's the point in making another record if we just made a straight up perfect nightmare album?". I remember Alex saying that on tour.

The band should be announcing some dates sometime soon for this fall.

11-10-09: We want to deeply apologize to all the fans we got fired up about reuniting. We are NOT reuniting! We are focusing on our new bands for right now and what ever we are doing. We might one day reunite for a tour but not right now. As for now The Waiting Room have released their second full length album called "Define Gravity" which is doing well and Alex Sin is in the studio with Mark Locus recording drums for him. Once again we apologize. We don't want to say the real reason why we aren't doing it but let's just say "Our hearts aren't into it".

We didn't want anyone to know this but after so much excited from reviving friendships in the past 6 months we thought we would like everyone to know we have dropped the past and we are looking straight into the future. What are we talking about? Well we are talking about a new record, and a world tour to follow! That's right. After Paul and Logan wrap up The Waiting Rooms new album and tour we will indeed be reforming. We are anxious to get back on the stage together for the first time in a long time! No more egos just straight true music like how it was in the begginning. We plan to record an E.P. together before Paul and Logan tour with The Waiting Room. The three track E.P. will be produced by our great friend Regan Futrell and more news will be unvieled later. Yes, this is true. We are back for good this time.

Love,
Alex, Paul, John, Mark, and Logan.

A Message From Alex Sin:

Quote:
You heard it here first and it is true. We have rebuilt our friendships and we are stronger then I think we have ever been before. We will most likely try to get a summer U.S. tour going soon. We also are recording a three track E.P. right now with Regan Futrell to release to hold everyone up until we can record a new full length. I've recently came back from a long vacation and it is just what I needed. No more solo gimmics, no more egos, just straight true music for the bones! After Paul and Logan release their highly anticipated 5th studio album as The Waiting Room and tour we will be going full swing with recording a full length and touring. The past is the past. So we're looking at this as a new begginning, a fresh new start. We'll announce which label we will be signing to soon even though it should be quite obvious...

Love,
-Alex Sin

The album is said to have more of a darker and heavier sound then their last albums did.

| E.P. Announced!

07.06.10: The new highly anticipated album being produced by Regan Futrell is set for release this August BUT you can get a first listen to whats to come from the album from a new E.P. that was produced by Regan Futrell as well called "Deaf Blooms". It will be released July 20th through Comatose Records. Here is the tracklisting:

01. Deaf Blooms
02. Digital Jesus
03. Sharpen The Knives

The sound is to be more experimental, and darker but at the same time more melody and heavier then previous records from the band. The album will be called "Hollowgrams" and the first single is going to be "Insomnia Treatment" which will be released early August. The band plan to go on tour this fall with Casting Thin Shadows and Jakey Comatose for a huge world tour. Also the band will play some warm up dates this August so be on the lookout for that. In the meantime check back for the album art to Deaf Blooms and all the latest on the bands highly anticipated reunion album "Hollowgrams".

Later,
Fear.

| Album Announced!

07.06.10: We know we just announced the E.P. yesterday but we finally wrapped up sessions with Regan Futrell and have release dates set! The E.P. will now be released a week earlier then announced so it will be released next Tuesday. The album "Hollowgrams" will be released on August 10th and the first single "Insomnia Treatment" will be released August 3rd. Here is the tracklist to Hollowgrams, the album produced by Regan Futrell.

01. Alibi
02. Hollowgrams
03. Insomnia Treatment
04. Flood Song(Drowning of 1,000 Men & Women)
05. Night-Errors(2nd Chance)
06. Johnny Truant
07. Can't Speak
08. One Day At A Time
09. Flesh Of My Flesh
10. Exit

We can't express how happy and pleased we are with ourselves with this record. It's heavy, it's very melodic, and its us. Regan knew what we wanted with this album and I think we achieved it. Artwork will be up soon. Hollowgrams, the new 6th studio album from Fear coming August 10th.

Love,
Alex Sin and the rest of Fear.
