Information

Anoesis were formed in 2009 by brothers Tom and James Lynch, in Los Angeles, California. They set out on a mission to bring life back to the music industry, which they claim to be is ‘practically dead and lifeless’, filled with Pop, one hit wonders and dull, fake, unemotional music. The band are currently catching quite a following, with their addictively strange and original tunes, smashing together colossal drum’s with screaming guitar riffs and twisted vocals with samples and synths and extra drum machines. The genre crossing band brings something fresh, exciting and new and is looking to spearhead this latest influx in new bands. Their sound has been likened to be a mix of The Horrors and Placebo, yet influences of trance and electronic are rife, even licks of acid jazz are infused. However it is a sound that can only quite be understood from listening to them, and once you have you’ll never go back. Alternative - Post punk – experimental psychedelic rock pioneers, you have Anoesis. Watch out for their debut album, which is reported by Tom to have a release date somewhere in late April/early May.

Band Members

Tom Lynch: Vocals; Synthesizer; Piano; Keyboard
James Lynch: Lead Guitar; Keytar
Paul Maiden: Bass Guitar; Saxophone
Michael Grimshaw: Drums; Extra Percussion

The Members Up Close...

Tom Lynch: Incredibly intelligent, beautiful song writer. Also incredibly confident, friendly, and has a heavy interest in Classical music. Sometimes gets involved in drug use, mainly only smoking cannabis, however he does do other recreational soft drugs.

James Lynch: Destructive, anarchic, the complete opposite of Tom. Probably would have been kicked out the band by now if it wasn’t for the fact he is a stunning lead guitarist. Him and Tom have a very close relationship, and don’t really ever argue.

Paul Maiden: Laid back, relaxed, as the oldest member of the band, heavily influenced by jazz and blues music in his bass and sax playing.

Michael Grimshaw: Once a tramp, his drum playing got him out of a life of heroin use and addictions to numerous narcotics. Brilliant drummer and full of soul and life, however can come across slightly over powering at times.
