I loved the past couple days :)

What brand/type of dye are you using?

Manic Panic's 'Amplified' range, in the shade "Vampire Red". No other dye can compare.

Unless I need Silver, or pastel shades, then it's Stargazer all the way.

It lasts 30% longer than most semi-perm dyes, and it's been two washes and the red hasn't budged an inch.

Why do you ask?

Okay, I wanted to see if you were using the same brand I used for my red when I had.

I only ever use Semi-Permanent dyes. What did you use? The colour is a bit colder than it looks to be fair, it's not so much a fire red as a crimson red.

I used Prevera (dunno if I spelt that right) blood-red. It fades into pink within 2 weeks of usage, anyway. And it was supposed to be ultra-permanent, but it obviously was not, lulz.

Never heard of it. Must be a US thing. Lol, you're putting red over lighter hair, it's bound to fade. Permanent black hair dye fades faster than Semi-Perm black hair dye. It's just how it penetrates the hair is the difference...

Semi-Perm hair dyes coat the hair cuticle, whereas Permanent dyes penetrate to change the pigment inside.

I see what you're saying, and isn't semi-perm hair dye cheaper? With ultra-perm I would have to get it done at a salon, which would cost alot, especially when I'm getting it done down here in LA.

Not necessary, my pots of dye cost around £9 I think? Most permanents here range from £3-6.

You pay for the quality.

What part of "semi-permanent", and "over white hair" isn't being understood? :3

OOOOH the white.I figure semi perm would last longer otherwise even if it's semi perm.My hair is black so I think it wouldn't have to many problems being dyed.

For the record, this is L-B :) Or Lauren-Becki, if you prefer.

She's also one of my hairdressing subjects ^_^ I had a great deal of fun doing that to her. It's grown out a bit now so she has a little bit of a swept fringe and the sides still shaved and it looks ace :D
