IntroductionCristina 'Nola' Lake (Born 18th July, 1990) is an American actress and singer. She made her film debut at the age of 17 in the 2008 independant film Home Sweet Home. The movie went on to become a huge success worldwide and threw Cristina into the spotlight. She has since had 3 lead film roles which were all relatively succesfull but she decided to move away from films for a while to concentrate on a music career. She was signed to Junction records in 2010 by Jake Wilson, who produced the soundtrack to Home Sweet Home.
Early LifeCristina Lake was born on 18th July 1990. She was born into "A typical American family". Her family wasn't rich but they weren't poor either. Her family went on 1 annual holiday when she was growing up. Her mother was a waitress and her father was a Swedish-English translator. Cristina is predominintly American but does have Swedish roots. She began interest in becoming an Actress when she was 8 and also had a passion for music particular David Bowie. She has two siblings one older brother who is studying law at NYU, Her older sister is a Nurse at an New York hospital.
ActingShe has always had interest in Acting and was given her first big break when she was casted in a supporting role in the highly succesfull independant film Home Sweet Home, during this time she became close friends with Jake Wilson and Juliette Moore. She started receiving offers for major movie's but most of them were Romantic Comedy's which she didn't really want to do "I wanted to do different kinds of films, Dark Drama's or Quirky Comedy's but I never wanted to do Romantic Comedy's, I'm not ruling it out but It's not the kind of film I'm into". She got her first lead role in the 2008 film Love Or Death, again this film was a success. She then got the lead role in the Film adaptation of the comic book Guardians of the Galaxy, she gained praise for the variety of her roles. She appeared in 6 episodes of Lonely Youths as an important guest character in 2009. She then decided to take time off from film roles and concentrate on her Music career.
MusicShe has always been interested in music and is friends with some well known musicians. She was signed by Junction Records in 2010 and is currently preparing her debut album and the tour supporting it. She will be writing the majority of the songs but she will also be collaborating on some of the songwriting for the album.
