I was young when I left home _________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ Ex-lead singer of The Bards, Marc Rolan, is looking to start a new band! The singer says he wants to start a blues/rock band. After recording the blues/roots/rock single, The Ballad Of Six Shooter Sam, Mr. Rolan says he has become very comfortable with his voice and with his dance with the blues. I'm looking for three musicians that can keep up my changing rhythm and keep the blues in the dirt." This marks the 3rd band Marc Rolan has fronted. The first being The Bards, and the second being the one album majorily successful band folk/rock band AutoPlane & The Hearts Bizarre. ___________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ Throat Cancer Blues If you haven't noticed Marc Rolan's voice has become a hard leathery sound. A far cry from when he was once the high note Bards singer. Sadly Rolan has been thrown a cruel dose of throat cancer which has made him sound like currently day Bob Dylan. A leather voice dipped in tar. " The cancer has been stopped but my vocals have been forever damaged. It don't bother me. Life goes on. I intend to continue making music and working with my range. But I do think my fantasty/rock days are over." ___________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ After finishing the The Bards end journey tour. 60 year old lead singer Marc Rolan has announced that he would like to go solo with his career. " I've talked to JJ Fields and I have agreed to an small 1 star contract with his Diamond Records label. But I'm defiantly fixing to record an album before August. I would love to have you on board!

After locking ourselves in Diamond Records studio we have finally written all the songs and then some, to our self titled debut album, MARC ROLAN & THE COLD IRON BAND. This album was spawned after I started to get itchy from sitting away from music after The Bards "retired". I was asked by Johnny Guitar to help out on some of his songs and after I saw that this kid had what I had, I asked him to record a blues/rock single with me. After we recorded I knew I wanted to release another album, so I created The Cold Iron Band, and asked the wonderful and talented Max Armstrong to join my front, he did.
