Regan Futrell recently sold over a million copies of his latest solo album "Empathy". In celebration he has released his third single from the album called "Blackout". It was backed by two b-sides of a cover of The Cure "10:15 Saturday Night" and a live performance of Jakey Comatose cover of "It's Not Raining Anymore" he did at the Birdies. He wrote a message in the liner notes of the single.

Quote:
In case you haven't heard Casting Thin Shadows WILL be reuniting. Now we aren't doing this for money. We aren't doing this because we've missed this. But we are doing this to end the band with a proper ending rather then having friendships torn apart. If our friendships do happen to be back how "they use to be" we will continue. How do you continue though after losing one of the most important people in your life and someone who you and the rest of your band looked at as a sister? It's hard. We are making the album Luna would have wanted and finishing the songs we all wrote with her on our last tour before she passed away. This new album will be experimental, metal, fast, and the sound you all came to love from us some goth rock! The album won't be made to have a cover story on us for an amazing comeback. It will be the album we all wanted to make with Luna and we weren't be replacing her either. I will be handling keys and piano on the album and guitar. The new album is going to be based loosely on ghost stories and such. We have one song called "Winchester" we've been reworking on and it tells of a ghost story to have happen in Winchester, England. We've been there and hope to record in overseas for this album. We haven't done that before and Alan and I liked the experience we had on working on "Rx" when we did that and everyone else has agrees. I'm talking to much. So yeah we have reunited but we aren't sure if we will continue the band after the tour and album. I would love to but having more than one band is hard to do and I love the way Quarantine is going so I don't want to end that. Enough of me talking. Enjoy the new single and hope to hear from everyone soon!

Love,
Regan Futrell

Mike: Exciting to see that CTS will be coming back in the wake of the tragedy. I am sure you guys can make Luna proud from wherever she may be watching.
