OOC: this is my attempt at one of those RPs some of you guys do, (and extremely well i might add) here it goes!

Cooper has been working everyday on thier debut album. The small Hoffman Estates studio feels less and less exciting than it used to when they began work over a month ago. The band is tired and stressed, but push onward, trying to complete the record.

Aaron stands in the control room with the engineer, arms crossed and focusing on Brandon who is on the other side of the glass, overdubbing a solo with his 1962 Fender Jazzmaster. Don is asleep on the couch in the waiting room after doing a 2 hour drum session. Tom is flipping through a magazine while smoking a Winston.

Aaron reaches over the engineer and presses the 'mic on' button, interupting the recording..

Aaron: Hey Brandon, why dont you try using the mxr pedal, its a bit warmer and not as buzzy...its causing hell on this track..

Brandon sighs, stops, and pops his knuckles. no answer

Aaron: Brando...did you hear me? can he here me in there?

Brandon: I hear ya man, ...and i dunno, i think its a bit better clean. i mean its a softer solo and i think mudding it up will overpower the subtle stuff.

Aaron: yeah, i agree. thats why i said use the mxr.

Brandon: thats why im NOT using the mxr...

Aaron rolls his eyes and just walks back to his arms folded, standing position as Brandon gets ready to try the overdub again. Joe, the engineer shakes his head and gives the thumbs up to Brandon, letting him know he is recording.

Aaron: i dunno man, that just sounds.....ugly to me, what do you think Joe?

Joe: umm...its good! i think you are thinking too much.

Tom: Yeah dude, you should really go home. sleep is a good thing. youve been riding Brandon out over that solo for the past 2 hours anyway.

Aaron sighs and stretches his arms out.

Aaron: maybe youre right. i could use some sleep. but i just have this sound in my head, but its just not coming out the way i want it to.

Joe: That could because you are not playing every instrument! you are in a band remember?

Aaron nods and realizes that he could very well be obsessing over it.

Aaron: okay you are right. im going home for a bit. while im gone, wake Don up and tell him he needs to retrack that slow one, hes a bit late on the high hats after the bridge.

Tom and Joe look at each other

Aaron: nevermind! goodnight!
