This is John Doe with the local music report.toingiht's spotlight, or non spotlight is on a local black metal musician.Black metal musician Benedict DCLXVI (666) is quite the controversial character. Hailing from Bergen,Noway and born to a mother who was raped as a child and was a prostitute and drug dealer.He was neglected as a child and spent most of his time killing small animals, molesting local girls (none of which he has been charged for), and mutilating himself. His concerts have been known to contain various sexual acts such as coprophagia (eating feces), urophagia (consuming urine), and in extreme cases even mutilating his genitals. The concerts usually end with him passing out in his own blood.He plays with members who are unknown members of a sacred cult; there are two out of the 5 cloaked member of the cult that have been actually seen. 1 is Benedict's brother named John Paul DCLXVI the other is an unnamed female who performs various acts with Benedict.The music itself is horrible, the guitars are crushing and the bass is so distorted all you hear is rumbling.The music contains a few clean parts which are actually decent,as well as the slower parts reminiscent of Burzum, however once the riffs are up temp they're horrible droning.Benedict's are a series of moans, high-pitched shrieks,and wails with the occasional sustained growl.However, the music made by this man, and his stage performance are so odd that they can only be described in clip form.

Benedict steps on to the stage naked and bleeding surrounded by 5 cloaked member, all wearing scary hoods. Benedict is lifted up by 4 of the people while the 5th disrobes and is revealed to be a naked blond woman.The precedes to bite Benedict's penis, drawing blood then sucking it, as if some sexual vampire.After he climaxes in her face Benedict proceeds to urinate on the woman's face.He is then dropped down on to a bed of glass and screams for about thirty seconds while the cloaked members get their instruments and then begin to play.The song is crude and the vocals are nothing but high shrieks and horrible guitar.After the song Benedict cuts his arm, slicing through some of the muscle and he screams into the mic as the next song begins.This one is a bit better and slower as well but still very bad even for black metal standards.The third song starts without delay, however during a long instrumental passage Benedict manages to defecate in his hand and then throws it at the audience, smearing some on himself and eating it, also feeding it to other members of the band as they all nearly simultaneously vomit. he rubs the vomit into his several wounds and even eats some, before the song is over he faints.The cloaked members attempt to pour blood on him to rouse him though is doesn't work and they carry him out.

As you can see, Benedict is a very twisted man, after this show he actually said that he'd usually passed out before the second song and was proud of himself. I met him and he actually had brought a freshly killed goat to consume raw while we spoke. This interview will be on later.However, before we close I have a question. Is Benedict insane, the devil himself, or just a sick and disturbed individual.Well my friend, we shall see!.

OOC: Well, I'm amused. It made me smirk.

But to give you some constructive feedback, the first thing I'd say is that although the character is funny (not to mention disturbing) because of his shocking acts, you perhaps don't want to use them all at once, if you want Benedict to have some sort of durability. I like the idea in principle of being gratuitous and intentionally offensive with the basic idea of shocking, but one thing I'd say is that it is a thin line between genuinely disturbing and over-the-top parody of the whole SDBM "I'm so extreme" shit. If you are going for the latter then you totally hit what you are going for a think (except that all SDBM bands urge their fans to kill themselves, so you'd have to throw that line in lots ;-) ), but if it's the former then I'd say that less is more. Eating shit, self-mutilation, vomiting in open wounds, golden showers, all in the space of 3 songs kinda lessons the impact to a certain degree, to me at least. It's only an opinion.

The other thing I'd suggest would be more of a formatting thing, rather than have the three big blocks of writing I'd suggest breaking them into a few more paragraphs.

Good luck though, you have what should be an entertaining character. I also quite like the band being robed, simply because robes are freaking cool.
