This one is definitely one of my favourite titles we have. It is called... wait for it.... Bludgeoned into Submission. As we've sorta let slip, we are working on another album already, and delaying the end of our trilogy back a bit. At the current moment, we don't know what the title is goin gto be, although we are absolutely packed with ideas. The new album will be as spacey as usual, but we're working on it to make it our most diverse and heaviest yet. We've got some nice grooves going on. This is most likely to be a single. A couple of other songs we have at the moment are Solar Ghost (written with JC from Reckoner in the Road to Joy competition) and Necropolis. So here you are then: The song starts off with muffled speech and heavy breathing for around about 30 seconds. What it’s saying isn’t quite clear, since electromagnetic static is making it difficult to make out. Then the sounds fade out quite quickly. We are brought back down to Earth in a tremendous fashion as a post-industrial, groovy and meaty riff in the vein of Gojira or Meshuggah pounds the listener into oblivion. To add to the heavy guitar work though, are some more unusual instruments. A hurdy-gurdy plays slowly in the back, along with a glockenspiel and very brief moments of sitars. It is extremely layered and it gives it an atmospheric, futuristic edge. After a couple of minutes with this riff being played, alongside furious drumming and harsh vocals, the song takes a bit of a turn. It stops suddenly for a short period of time, leaving the sound of war cries. A gentle acoustic guitar then comes in, playing the exact same riff from The Juggernaut. There are no vocals during this part, just the acoustic and the hurdy-gurdy playing. This blissful peace doesn’t last however, and it then goes back into the riff, with Jason playing the main riff and Aaron playing a lightning speed solo. After the solo, it fades back into static screaming and a quiet child’s voice whispering indecipherable lyrics. A gentle piano part then plays the song out. Hope you enjoy it. You better, you have no choice.

Masterful combination of the now staple Mind heaviness with an incredible sense of when to use and abuse the gift of restraint. I find myself drawn in more and more each time, taking in the textured subtleties and minute details, and god, must I say, the layering and sampling used in this track breathes such a unique and compelling life into the song. One thing I always strive to achieve that seems to come so naturally to you guys is the ability to both be unique enough to be recognizable whether it's one chord or 50 you're playing, yet at the same time the music continually keeps you guessing at what's coming next. I'm definitely interested to here what's coming next from you guys, quality band. -Luke Haley Junkhead OOC: Real nice job, it's cool to see you really shine as a roleplayer nowadays. Lyrics are looking pretty cool actually, and I gotta say, I think this has inspired me to get off my ass and rp a bit of Junkhead, who knows?
