Setting: an old smoke filled bar in downtown Houston, the floor is soaked with split beer and the whole room is buzzing, the walls are covered in graffiti filled with band names, some can be recognized like the band "
Aerospliff", and "
They". on the stage are two young men in there early 20's the drummer
Mickey Langston is setting up his cheap 3 piece kit consisting of a bass drum, snare and ride symbol. to his right the guitarist and lead vocalist
Dunn White sets up what appears to be a homemade tube amplifier plugged into a cheap hand-me down guitar.
White: "hello...we are the
Black Jets."
langston gives a 4 beat count with his sticks and. BOOM there off. the stage is erupting with sound, White's voice is giving off an old delta blues tone that know White man should be able to pull off. going into beautiful falsettos and and growling bass notes. his guitar is loud and crunchy, and his playing is sloppy and non uniform, but the solos cranked out sound as if Hendrix himself were up there. the drummer has know idea what he is doing as he pounds out solid beat after beat, but some how it completes the sound of he band. te night has come to an end and the whole club is in an uproar about the Black Jets. White turns to Langston and says.
White: "Oh yeah were gonna go far...."
