Just wondering - do any of you roleplay anywhere else, or is TRSG your one and only home?
These are the other roleplays I use (which were bound to come up at some point!) -

L&L is my second forum home (note - second, nothing replaces TRSG in my heart), my usual online hangout now - these days, I'm there as often as I was here! (:
It's definitely not like TRSG, something completely different, but the roleplay is brilliant.
My accounts : Lucy Cattell, Mason Comyns, Josh Comyns, Felicity Mirror, Kimi Parker, James Katelyn, Sadie Glonek, Kaitie B. Perkons.

TBM is a shiny new, very unique and - erm, rather disturbing in its way (always good for morbid people like me) roleplay site which I've just joined.
My accounts : Kaethe Brigitte Mauzi, James Mason Comatose. (In other words, I could have said, "I have two accounts, guess which ones?")

Sooo .... anyone else roleplay elsewhere? Got any board recommendations and/or pretty pictures? :P

I'm involved in something which is loosely roleplay related, called La Republique. It's set in an alternative reality in 1936, where Germany won the First World War, the British had a syndicalist revolution, the Kaiser is the boss of the Germans, Italy is split into two, with the Papacy and syndicalists, and many other changes.

We are France. Or to be exact we are politicians in France. It's all being played around a World War II game that Paul will instantly recognise and loathe called Hearts of Iron 2. I am in a party called the People's Progressive Socialist Party (a far left party), and we're currently undergoing our very first elections before the game begins a properly, and with the votes in so far the PPSP are a little ahead of the rest, but to form a government it will need to be in a coalition.

Early days yet but writing shit like this amuses me oh so much
Quote:
Comrades!

Some among us strive to divide France, divide and conquer with an iron fist. These Bonapartist fascists have no respect for the French Revolution or its ideals, worshipping instead the man who trampled on the the revolution and wasted countless thousands of Frenchmens lives in acts of folly that. How many poor peasants died fighting for some misguided fool in the bitterly cold steppes of Russia?

We cannot let these fantastists take power again or they will only attempt to do to Germany what Germany did to our great nation in the Treaty of Orelans. We will end up in a never ending cycle of war on the continent and it will not be Tuore or Emperor Ike who will be fighting these wars in the trenches but the workers and the peasants. Their blood will be shed in petty, meaningless conflicts over tiny stretches of land and for nothing but the bank balances of the bourgeois.

No more we say! No more shall we be exploited for the gain of greedy individuals. No more shall we allow reactionaries to send our sons to their graves. No more to attempts to destroy the republic and turn it into a brutal empire. The Bonapartes have failed France, not once but twice! It was the arrogance of the Emperor Napoleon III that saw France humiliated by the Prussians in 1870 and lead directly to the unifaction of Germany to become our greatest enemy. To quote Marx, "Hegel remarks somewhere that all great world-historical facts and personages appear, so to speak, twice. He forgot to add: the first time as tragedy, the second time as farce."

I beseech you comrades, we must stand up to the reactionaries. If they are allowed to get their hands on power they will only succeed in leading France to its doom. Ignore the lies that they care more for the poor than we. Has ever a more ludicrous idea been suggested comrades? We will support voluntary farming co-operatives among small land-holders to increase crop yields, but that is a long way from forced collectivisation. In the cities we will actively encourage the education of the workers, while again supporting workers to buy out their employers in order to run co-operatives. I suggest that Comrade Yourworstnightm re-reads his Marx if the conclusion he got was that our aim is to enslave all the human race. This is rich coming from a member of a party that claims French soverignty over all of Europe from Portugal to Moscow!

The People's Progressive Socialist Party stands as one of the bastions against reaction here in France, a role we are proud to assume. We are not alone in this fight, surely politicians from everywhere across the spectrum can see that stopping such extremists is of the upmost importance to our nation. Yes, the PPSP are proud socialists who want to see the proletariat freed from his economic slavery, and yes, we are tolerant of those of any and all religious or ethnic backgrounds, unlikey the Bonapartists, allying themselves with a fringe theocratic party presumably for no other reason than to make their own platform seem slightly less extreme and repulsive. We are not ashamed that we live by the mottos of the Third Republic, so easily dismissed by the Bonapartists, we are indeed proud to stand for equality, freedom and brotherhood.

Unlike the FINP extremists we also accept that this is an important moment in time: France is split, or at least on the verge of a split, which could well end violently. We need to avoid this at all costs and so we accept the need to be concillatory while the decendants of Bonaparte's Empire talk only of foolish dreams of raising the tricolore from the Kremlin, and a crusade to the Levant! What France needs now is solid leadership who live in the real world rather than with their heads in the clouds. This is the lives of the people we are talking about, thousands if not millions would die for sheer folly.

The bourgeois must learn to accept that socialism is here to stay and that we will not stand aside while industrialists continue to exploit the people, it will not be tolerated! Instead throw away such chauvinism and work with us to improve the lot of the people, a divided France is precisecly what the Kaiser wants. We must resist the urge to listen to bigotted demagogues and instead appeal to the rational part of our minds. Without the enlightenment and the Age of Reason, there would be no French Republic that we all are proud to be apart of.

Ignore the lies published in Paris-Presse recently, full of hatred and spite towards the workers. Of course we feel sympathy for our comrades in Russia, England, Italy and elsewhere, but no more than we feel sympathy for our oppressed brothers all across the globe. We are first and foremost French and we will be nobodies puppet. Such propaganda is shameless and distasteful and we would expect better from the comrades of the Republican Entente.

My message is simple. To the workers I can only urge to use your democratic right and vote for the People's Progressive Socialist Party, for your own best interests, for a strong homeland and no insane, old-fashioned imperialist desires for territory, for state investment in vital industry and education to help France to regain its place among the great states. To our opponents, we remind them only that it is not us who are threatening to the divide the country, it is not us encouraging lynch mobs and press-ganging workers along to their "anti-Communist" demonstrations with the aid of their paramilitaries! The PPSP do not want to see our nation fall into Civil War. The only people that benefits are the crazed extremists of the French Imperial Napoleonic Party, all sane individuals must unite against such a dark threat!

Vive la france! Foule esclave, debout, debout!

Yeah, I'm such a dick. But this sort of rampant insane politicking is totally up my street.

You can join here: http://z7.invisionfree.c...Forums/index.php?act=idx but only if you want to join the PPSP :p

I belong to a Harry Potter roleplay site! xD The roleplay there is very different. And the people there are all at varying levels, I'm one of the better roleplayers but there are a whole lot of people better then I am.

I'm on a site called roleplayer guild. Instead of being like TRSG where there is one game where anyone posts threads related to their stuff, it's a site where people create their own RPs. There are even multiple forums for different levels. It's cool, though there are a lot of unoriginal ideas.
RP Only Since July 2010
