Jakey Comatose, writing on his Tumblr, today announced his comeback, after a short hiatus, to music. He writes "I had intended to quit music, and really live my life while I can. It was sweet to have a short break, but it was soon apparent to me that something was missing. Without music, there really isn't much meaning in my life. I feel like I better get back out there doing something before I completely fall apart."

The singer announced earlier this year that he was leaving the business when he went into remission after suffering from leukaemia, informed that though he had recovered it was not a full recovery and that doctors expected cancer to affect him again in the next 3 years. However, it seems that he has had a change of heart.

"Music's been on my mind since the day I said that it wasn't what I wanted any more. There hasn't been a day since then that I haven't sat down at my grand piano. I've been writing and recording, too. I intend to release an album for free online within the next couple of days, with a physical release coming sometime after that. There will be tracks on it you've heard already, like Vicious Circularity, but mostly it'll just be songs that only I have heard," he writes.

Not long after this, he announced his return, as well as a track listing, on his official website:

This is the best news ever! I haven't had time to redo the Comatose Records site since you left me in charge of it but if you want to co-run it again with me you can! We also gotta do some touring like the old days my man! Glad to see you back.
