Liam O'Mally was born in England, Cambridge, to a drunken Irish father. His father, though wealthy, was spirally into debt to cover his alcoholism. His mother, always caring and supportive of Liam, looked after him. When his father died, he left barely any of his money to her, and gave it all to the woman he was having an affair with. Without any money, the pair travelled to his fathers native Ireland, where they lived for 5 years on a council estate in Galway. It was here she met Liam's stepfather, Adam. Liam and Adam got on very well, and Adam initially helped Liam get into music, teaching him to play many instruments. Adam was extremely talented musically and was entirely self taught, passing on some of his distinctive styles to Liam. However when Liam was 20, Adam developed bowl cancer and died aged 53. Liam was distraught, and bunked off his University course, eventually being kicked out for being drunk and disorderly on campus. Liam then turned to what Adam would have wanted, and began to look seriously at a career in music. Moving to London, leaving his grieving mother in Galway, he met fellow university drop outs Ben Alex and Mike Jones. The three got on very well, and introduced Mike's bestfriend Ian Knight to the band. It was this way that The Lost was formed. The rest is history. [/SPOILER]
