I: Hello and welcome back to the show today we are here with guitarest Dan Richerds and lead singer James Urie from The Walls who were kind enough to take time from their tour to talk with us. How are you guys today?
D:Hey im great thanks.
J:Pretty good
I: Hows the tour going with Ifinite, Thunder Road, and Suburban Sunrise?
D: Damn its alot of fun. All the bands are great and the shows are amazing. Infinite has definitly impressed everyone.
J:All the bands are amazing live and are just full of a bunch of good people.
I: Now on the tour during your set you guys take like a 10 minute intermission. And during that the dancers seem to auction you guys off like if you were some sort of sports car. Was that your idea?
J:Haha no it was acctually the dancers idea. But its funny to see how people react to it.
D: Well it is fun but one night it got so bad we acctually made close to fuck what was it I beleave it was close to 500 dollars between all of us Aj, Steve, James, and myself so we told them to only take one dollar at the most.
I: Now when the dancers would hold up your picture for the auction they would also tell some secrets about you guys. And when they held up you picture James they said your a virgen. Is that true? haha
J: O fuck hahahaha
D: Not anymore lol
J: Ya that used to be true
I: So Dan I take your not
J: Not for awhile with him like I look at I see a golden ox god in the bed
D: No not really when I wake up in the morning I go to the mirror I shake my head and say "Shit that was bad."
I: Haha and there has been some rummors going saying that you too are gay. Is that true?
D: Haha no that is not true if it was my girlfriend would kill me
J: No just No
I: So new album. When can expect that from you guys?
J: Hopefully sometime with in the next 2 months.
D: Ya we were originally going to release it this month but we saw that we were going into the wrong direction like it was becoming more pop which we do not like so we started over and I've written some lyrics and the rest of the band has sorta done their thing with the music. So we are hopeing to get in the studio in between the legs of the tour so we should have it done as soon as possible.
I:So is the album going to be like your past album?
J: Its going to be simmilar but not exactly the same. But in the same genre
I: Are you guys going to tour after this tour you are on currently?
D: Well if we dont get the new album finished then no.
J: We will more then likely just play a bunch of festivals
I: So we can expect new music from you guys?
J: Ya dont worry its coming
D: Thats what she said!
