Maria in her "Not For Sale" album photo shoot. While the rest of Green Leaf is enjoying their free time on tour, Lead vocalist Maria has decided to use up the time to work on some of her personal music.
Maria is set to release an LP titled "Not For Sale" this late August. Maria worked with Stephanie Fierce on her new record.
The lead single from "Not For Sale" titled "Rebellious" will be available for FREE download July 4, 2010 on Green Leaf's website.
Maria: The song is basically about me and Steph as a kid, the things we imagined and we went through. I personally lived a hard life and I was a rebellious kid. I did wanted to change the world and I realized it was impossible sort of like Stephanie wants to change the industry. It's pretty much heavier and has more bass than what Green Leaf fans are used to, but our next album will have these elements too. So you can say it's an introduction. It has a "We will Rock You" vibe and it can be a great tune for any rebellious people out there. I can't wait til I perform it live. It's going to be so raw.
Stephanie Fierce: Working with Maria was a great experience because it felt right and we have so much in common. We were both raised in the same area and it's funny how small the world is. Writing with her was one of the best experiences. Originally it was written for my album but instead we decided that it fits her album more.
