Does the name Nard Dog ring a bell?

Most likely known as the egotistical Ivy League grad on the hit TV show 'The Office' it was almost the name of a rap group consisting of male emcee Scott Orson, female emcee Jennifer Jones, and DJ BuzzLY...but after many internal feuds with the band mainly over who would be the leader of the group, Jennifer left the group, and with a loss of a band member, the group name followed suit.

'Corporate' is a name that sounds more like something you'd name a generic punk band than a hip-hop group, as it seems to bring thoughts of anarchism and anti-consumerism. But this isn't the hidden meaning of the band's name.

"Actually it came off a line in The Office where, I think Pam, said something about Michael 'giving her a middle-class job in corporate'," claims Scott "Office", the now lone emcee. "Instead, our subject matter relies on the highs and lows of being in a rap group, our lives, our past, our present, our future, our opinion of specific social issues which doesn't include anything anti-corporate, love, making love, and more. Basically what you'd find in a De La Soul album. *laugh*"

The band is already working on their first album, "Get Ready to Get Corporate", an album boasting tracks such as "What You Expect", "When You'll Expect It", and "How You Should Expect It".

"We feel like we're not ready to truly go 100% yet. Me and Buzz (DJ BuzzLY), are planning to just release an album that'll at least give us a reputation before we really start making fire."

DJ BuzzLY has stated that he will check back here whenever he can to answer any questions about the hip-hop duo.

BuzzLY: heh thats cool man. i'll definitely try to listen to your stuff when i can.

actually reading this over i think the comparision to de la soul is wrong...were more like atmosphere if anything. scott really pours his heart out on records.

Warren: If you wanna hear me rap, either buy Long Nights' Demo Tape Album or buy the single Make Up Your Mind from the old band I was in Shut It, the song is on the album.
