Well, I'm almost back on the road again! The tour diary starts here guys...
Met with the roadcrew this morning, all the busses and equipment that I'm taking is sorted. Didn't realise quite how big this had got, y'know, the amount of people involved in this tour is quite shocking, and to think that it's just my name appearing at the top of the posters seem kind of.. wrong!
The tour dates are as follows:
July:
1st - Liverpool Echo Arena
2nd - Cardiff Indoor Arena
3rd - Bournemouth International Centre
5th - Birmingham LG Arena
7th and 8th - London O2 Arena
9th - Nottingham Trent Arena
11th - Glasgow SECC
12th - Aberdeen AECC
14th - Manchester MEN Arena
15th - Sheffield Arena
16th - Newcastle Metro Radio Arena
18th - London Wembley Arena
Support is coming from Jack Frost. He's a great musician and I've had my eye on him for a while. It'll be great to meet him at Liverpool tomorrow, hopefully he's up for hanging out or something, cause as you all know, I don't like my tours to be boring ;)
I'll be testing my new tracks on the audiences to see how they'll react. The actual album will be out after the tour, and then I'll think about touring elsewhere! Other than that, there really isn't that much to expect from the tour visually, I'm not really into that. But I will be taking a small string section with me, with stages this size it'd be stupid not to have everything played live. I'm in it for the music, and hopefully my fans are too.
So yeah, stick around and keep reading, and we'll see what kinds of interesting stuff happens this time around...

If Quarantine wasn't already on the road you know we would be there opening up. Wish I could get to see one of the shows I might be able to catch one when we go overseas next month.

The lights dim to a bright white beam that hits the microphone stand. From darkness of the stage enters Jack Frost, who wears all black. A harmonica is wrapped around his head and a acoustic guitar is in his hands. His hair is a wild tangle and he sports a 3 week old beard.
As he enters the circle of light a scattered applause fills the arena. Somebody yells out, "We want Jakey!" The crowd roars with approval, as Jack strums his guitar and tunes it. Silence.
Again somebody yells, "Jakey!"
Finally Jack Frost gives a smile and says, "He'll be on stage in a few. For now, ya'll stuck with me." And without introduction Jack Frost begins to strum his guitar to the dark, tone from his song Forgotten Grave. The crowd is silent as the story of a boy soldier dies and is forgotten on the battlefield. After the three minute song is up, Jack steps back and the crowd applauds.
"Thank you. Today is my first time playin over seas. I must say Liverpool is great place....
He strums his guitar as he speaks.
"Back home in the states, I left a women alone. She loved to take moon lit bathes..."
Jack blows a few familiar notes on his harmonica and begins to strum the soft, radio played song, Cold Cold Moon. After Jack finishes the 4 minute song he gives a wave while the crowd cheers with pleasure. "Ladies and gentlemen, back from the grave, Jakey Comatose!"
The lights blacken and the air is filled with the roars and cheers of the massive crowd.... |

Last night was an amazing show, thankyou to everyone who came. Jack Frost was brilliant, couldnt think of a better opening act! Played mostly a 'greatist hits' set, but chucked in a few new ones too. More new ones will be played on the next tour in promotion of the album. Stuck in a Cure cover too, as always!

A smiling Jack Frost takes the stage of the Cardiff Indoor Arena. The crowd eagerly cheers Frost as he adjusts his guitar.
"Hello! Glad to meet ya! But ever since I started my journey across the big blue I been having somethin eating away at my, uh, core. I went to the doctor and he told me, he said, "son, I'm afraid you got a bad case of the summer time blues!"
and without hesitation Jack Frost begins to play the whimsical folk song, Jack Frose Blues!
without stopping Jack melts the last chords into the heart breaking ballad by New York Nights. After playing the three minute tear jerker the crowd erupts into a gentle applause.
"Before I retire into the night, and let Mr Comatose steal your hearts, I would like to remind you wonderful Englishfolk that War still lingers in our paths and on the path is the future of our earth...." Jack Frost begins to play the dark and sharp Children Of War song.
"Thank you! You've been nothing but a wonderful sea of wonderful people!"
With that Jack Frost exits the stage to make room for the legendary singer/songwriter...Jakey Comatose! |
