Quarantine recently wrote and recorded over 15 songs on their tour bus lately and plan to release its fifth studio album quicker then expected. The 5th album Oriental is suppose to be much heavier, experimental, more aggressive and more in-your-face then previous records. Not much has been revealed other then Regan said the first single will be Eta Carinae and to expect a much more faster and more progressive Quarantine on not only this album but on the first single. The band are rumored to announce the producer shortly and a release date. The tracklisting was revealed by an e-mail sent out from the bands label Comatose Records which Regan co-owns with Jakey Comatose. Here is all we know: Artwork: Tracklist: 01. Bodysnatcher 02. Street Corpse 03. Cerebral Cortex 04. Vardøger 05. Kriyamana Karma 06. Eta Carinae 07. Day Seven: The Crack in the Skye 08. The Distinction of People 09. Septentrional 10. Metonym The album is to have no instrumentals but some songs are long due to interludes being at the end of them. It was also said by Vincent Hale this album was written quick due to the band acting more like a band towards their writing and being on the top of their game in top notch. Quarantine reveal who produced the new album and a lake acoustic show.
Quarantine have now revealed they will be doing a Lakeview Acoustic Session on Lake Gaston in front of the lake. It is to be taped where they recorded the album "Glasshouse" and the band says to expect alot of new songs to be played acoustic but they will still play old songs as well. The concert will be happening on July 23rd when they release their 5th studio album Oriental. The band plans to release a double disc CD/DVD this fall from the concert.
Also make sure to hear the new single Eta Carinae coming out July 20th!
The band went in to produce the album themselves this time around. Regan said "I felt as if we had to prove we can make great albums out on our own but at the same time we will go back and work with the producers we have in the past. Especially Jakey Comatose and Jimmy Him."
He also described the new album to be expecting something different once again. He said it's dark, full of melodies, experimental, raw, and some songs are actually their heaviest. It is the first time that Regan has screamed this much on an album since their "Salvation" trilogy E.P. |

I'm really excited for this album! Quarantine always attempts something new every time they make an album, and this doesn't look like it'll disappoint! -Eric Quillington |
Kid Anything- Indie/Britpop/Shoegaze; influenced by Sigur Ros, XXYYXX, Kanye West, Blur, Oasis (Bringing together an eclectic group of influences, Ulysses' songs are sung with carefree abandon by Nick Junk) Kurt Ulysses - Songwriter, Guitarist, Backup Vocalist Nick Junk - Vocals, Mojo Infinite- Alternative/Experimental Rock; influenced by Muse, Radiohead, and The Beatles (Known best for their experimental music and their frontman's eccentric behavior, the band disbanded after Eric Quillington's death to pursue solo careers or, in Matt Robert's case, peace of mind. Infinite released four albums over the course of their career; Blue Nebula, Midnight Skies, Insomnia, and Dancing about Architecture.) Eric Quillington (Deceased) - Lead Vocals, Lead Guitar, Piano, Primary Lyricist Matt Roberts - Bass Greg Oldson - Drums, Backup Vocals, Secondary Lyricist Amelia Florentine - Keyboards, Piano, Lyricist, Backup Vocals "When asked 'how do you write?' I invariably answer, 'one word at a time', and this answer is invariably dismissed. But that's all it is. It sounds too simple to be true, but consider the Great Wall of China, if you will: one stone at a time, man. That's all. One stone at a time. But I've read you can see that motherfucker from space without a telescope." - Stephen King |

The first single has been released today! The album will now come out Tuesday! 01. Eta Carinae 02. Eta Carinae(Acoustic) 03. The Wretched(Nine Inch Nails Cover Live) Produced By: Quarantine All Songs Except Track 2 Written By: Quarantine All Lyrics Except Track 2 By: Regan Futrell Label: Comatose Records You can buy the single here. The song is more of a progressive fast paced rock song. It shows Regan and Vincents guitar skill are on top of their game with fast shift changing tempos and previews the album to have more a fast-tempo progressive side to it but still has the ambient, experimental side to the band that can be heard in the breakdown of the song. Regan had this to say on the song: "This song was not only mine but the whole bands favorite from the songs we had. The whole album we love but this one stood out the most to us. If people don't like it they will just have to wait awhile for another Quarantine record but if they are satisfied as much as we are with this album then I guess I have nothing to worry about. I don't see myself retiring or quitting music until I am dead but the next Quarantine record WILL be more prepared and set in stone before we go into it." It also seems the tracklisting has now been rearranged to have Street Corpse as the opening track and Bodysnatcher to be were Street Corpse was. Edited by user 16 July 2010 07:19:33(UTC)
