Shattered Fairytale - Beneath the Mind To give people a further insight in what is to be our best album, Shattered Fairytale, we're going to be starting a track-by-track series, in which we can give you the musical and emotional insights into all the tracks off of the album. Tomorrow, we will start with the intro, The Stranger, which will not be too impressive, but it'll get better from then onwards. Also, we have a few tours being planned at this very moment. OOC: If I'm being honest, I ripped this idea of off Coheed and Cambria, when they were releasing their new album! I thought it would save me having to fill it all up in one go. It makes it slightly more dramatic this way. |

1. The Stranger (intro) (0:43) (Ambient/ Noise) (Smith/ Del Petro)A single bell chime comes in at about 5 seconds, starting a glockenspiel and acoustic guitar combo. The riff is spooky, masked with small layers of static noise, giving it an eerie, old fashioned sound, like you’d get in horror films. You hear the sound of a thunder crack at about 30 seconds in and the music ceases. It remains silent, apart from the sound of lashing waves and warped thunder. At the end, the lyrics are whispered.
Jason: “It’s a spooky little intro that really sets the scene. It warns you that things are gonna be different from before. Oh yeah, we put the word mind in again.”
