The group, collectivly know as "The Claymores" are made up of Norman Murchland (Vocals / Guitar), Keith Lumsden (Drums), Jeffery Pearson (Lead Guitar) and Robbie Worthington (Bass Guitar) battled it out with over 20 acts in the final stage of the competition on Saturday night at King Tut's.

We'll be hitting the studio now and try to get our first few songs recorded and use our money to put together a wee tour!"

The Claymores have announced a four gig tour of Scotland. Using a portion of their prize money the band have now purchased a van designed for the bands touring needs and booked themselves into four dates starting next month.

Playing at two venues in Glasgow, and one each in Edinburgh and Inverness the band hope this mini-tour will help raise funds to go on a full UK tour in the future.

Friday 6th August: 20:00 King Tut's (Glasgow)
Saturday 7th August: 21:00 ABC (Glasgow)
Thursday 12th August: 19:00 Bannermans (Edinburgh)
Saturday 14th August: 20:00 The Ironworks (Inverness)

Anyone wanting to catch the band can just go along to the venue and pay at the door.
