The album's songs continue in the same sunshine-pop genre that Sally has already become known for. "I don't mean to brag, but in my opinion it's the perfect summer album," Sally says. "It also tells a bit of a story, in a way. It's basically a musical tale of love and loss in the summertime. I based it on my teenage years in California. It's a love story, more or less." The songs create a nostalgic reminder of the hardships of teenage love, which nearly everyone can relate to. Jason: Underneath the Waves... isn't that a song by Strapping Young Lad? By the sounds of it, they're two completely different things, but good luck with this anyway. |
