Glamazon: Glad you're looking forward to it, sweetheart! It's a shame that the album couldn't be released sooner but it's definitely worth the wait. ;)

"2012" OUT NOW + REVIEW

UserPostedImage

POPJUSTICE REVIEW "2012"

After the addictive "Lethal Love" and the top 40 hit "Heart Malfunction", Glamazon is back with her third single "2012" which is taken from her debut album Demons. Some could point out that Glamazon could very well become a one hit wonder after hitting #29 in the U.S and becoming a decent sized hit, but with a song that's this different but brilliant, it's hard to think of a song like this going under the radar.

"2012" opens with around a minute of nothing but slow, gritty beats which mix in with haunting violins which add an eerie opening to the track. Glamazon's heartfelt vocals then kick in afterwards, you'd think she really was singing this song right as the world crumbles to pieces in front of her, as she describes the scenery if the world was to end, based around the 2012 conspiracy theory. Whether people believe it or not, her vocals certainly come across as emotional and believable and it's evident that she's no auto tuned pop princess who's looking to have a good time.

Verdict: A moving and excellent pop track that will stick out like a sore thumb but for all the right reasons. Is it perfect? No. This isn't commercial at all and for this to be the single right before the album release is a tad risky, but Glamazon insists on taking risks and we think it's definitely paid off.

"2012" is out now.

ALBUM PUSHED BACK AGAIN

Glamazon fans are once again disappointed after discovering that Glamazon's debut album Demons has faced its second push back so far. The album originally had a confirmed release date of 27th August but was then pushed back near a month to 20th September. Now, fans are unsure of whether the album will even be coming to them any time soon due to the several delays that have happened.

A representative for Glamazon said:

"We are doing our most to help Glamazon reach her full potential and on the time frame that we're being given, it's near impossible for us to reach out to a worldwide market and help promote her across the world in such a space of time. Fans will definitely be getting the album this year, there's no doubt about that, but there's definitely some patience required as we want her to make the biggest impact possible. To help promote the album, we've planned several high profile shows and also a prestigious opening slot where more details will be announced soon. She's slowly breaking out into the world market and we can't wait to watch her success unfold."

GLAMAZON RELEASES FOURTH SINGLE "BAD BITCH"

After an album push back and little heard of Glamazon since her last release of "2012", fans were starting to worry if her debut album would even be going ahead as planned. However, with not much notice given, her fourth single "Bad Bitch" is now available worldwide on iTunes, the album soon to be following on a new release date of 18th October.

"I first arrived in late May, and it's basically taken near to five months to get the album out, after so many single releases and announcements, it's finally on its way! It's been a long wait for not only my fans, but for me as well, I want people to hear the album just as much they wanna hear it. For the next single, we've decided to go for the most upbeat and fun record of the track, "Bad Bitch", a real female empowerment anthem, my rebellious song, and a big fuck you to all men who think they're better than women."

If you missed the track by track review of the album, take a read below...

"Heart Malfunction"
Quote:
"This starts the album off with a fairly upbeat and catchy number, a lot of bass and electric guitars as well. It's a song about being in many unsuccessful relationships and it's caused so much heartache throughout the years that your heart no longer functions and just shuts down, your heart no longer wishes to love."

"Lethal Love"
Quote:
"This is another song about love, very dark and electronic and another song you could dance to but that's not the aim of the song. About giving your all to the person you're in a relationship with, you give them your love, your emotions, your trust and once that all falls apart, you're basically breaking down and on the verge of death. Love is a very dangerous emotion and I wanted to highlight that."

"Eyes of God"
Quote:
"I'm playing with the idea of what it would be like to be God and what I would see through his eyes, seeing all of the dilemmas in the world and what it would be like to see all of this destruction to a planet that I created. It's a midtempo track which sounds quite haunting with thanks to the violins in the track mixed with dark, moody electro beats."

"Crime Scene"
Quote:
"This is about being in an abusive relationship and the guy pushes you so far that you just snap, you lose control and hit out, you end up killing him. You begin to panic and evacuate the crime scene, it's like a soundtrack to a movie, very dramatic with the sound of a heartbeat all the way running through the song, the heartbeat gets faster as it nears the end and really creates an on-edge effect to the listener, I love it."

"Grave Flowers"
Quote:
"This is one of the more slower tracks on the album, an emotional piano ballad about losing a loved one. It's about visiting their grave, you lay the flowers down and just remember all of those memories you had together, it's a song that will really make you feel something."

"Bad Bitch"
Quote:
"I'd like to call this my Michael Jackson track, it's a track where I rebel. It's very in your face, aggressive, edgy and uptempo where I give the orders, no man is gonna stop me and break me down, I'm on top and basically I think I rule the world. It's a cocky but fun track that's a real girl anthem, we don't take no shit from men."

"2012"
Quote:
"Quite a weird topic some would say, it's about the 2012 conspiracy theory, how some believe that we're all going to die in that year. I'm describing the scenery, the chaos and the damage caused and what it would be like to experience such a thing. This track also uses violins but it's much faster, much more dramatic than any other track on the album, it's very chilling and spine-tingling."

"Hollywood Is Dead"
Quote:
"A song about the lifestyle that some young girls lead in Hollywood, starving themselves to become models and make themselves look better and getting surgery done to try and enhance their looks, when really they're destroying themselves. It's the most rocky track on the album, a lot of drums and the vocals are almost kinda shouty, but it gives a powerful message."

"Bank Account"

Quote:
"This is a more upbeat urban-influenced pop track about a successful person who may have a bank full of money and live a rich and glamorous lifestyle, but in reality, they're lonely. The main message is that no amount of money in your bank account is going to buy you happiness, something a lot of people will agree on."

"Dark Horse"

Quote:
"A powerful song dedicated to those in the industry who doubted my artistic abilities and views. I'm referring to myself as a dark horse/underdog and I'm promising and determined to prove those certain people wrong. It's a feisty midtempo track and finishes the album off nicely."

Stacey: It's such a great time to be a fan of music, there's so many amazing people coming through. The album is incredible it's just so dark and exciting it's very different from anything else I've heard recently and as I've probably stated before, your fucking beautiful.
