 Aimée Christelle is a 20 year old electro/rap artist, born in Paris, France, but later moved to Los Angeles, California in hope for her big break in music. Aimée claims she's inspired by genres such as acid house, trance, synthpop and indie dance, which are all genres that she would like to include in her music, mixed in with her rap vocals that she has grown familiar to over the years. Aimée was first seen in the first All Around The World competition but as the competition was cancelled; Aimée made her way into the studio to begin work on her debut album, titled 101 ways to kill yourself with glitter, sweatpants & a half-empty bottle of vodka which receives a release later this year. With her crazy, Jack Daniels loving personality, Aimée hopes to be seen as one of the most promising newcomers in the industry. CLUB 109 PERFORMANCE
Aimée awaited for her call to go on stage as she sat patiently in her small dressing room backstage. She glanced around - noticing the stale, half-peeled wallpaper, the scent of dampness surrounding her. She felt her stomach turn as she grabbed some vodka and pressed it to her lips - downing it straight from the bottle to ease her nerves. She let out a deep sigh until she heard a knock at her door - and away she went to take to the stage.
The place was full of no more than a hundred people, and yet Aimée who acts like a drunken, crazy wreck was still overcome with nerves. She waited at the bottom of the stairs to the stage as a club host introduced her, she took a deep breath and ran up the stairs, "HAY HAY HAY!! It's MOI!!" she shouted out at the top of her lungs. "Why am I so fucking nervous guys?? I'm an uncool kid, so not cool, wow wow wow... I want some whiskey up in hereeee bitchezzzzzz!!! This is 'Almost Dead', my debut single, out sometime soon, whatevz, whenevz" she said as she smiled; the opening beat beginning. She whipped her hair frantically before putting the microphone closely against her mouth as she then fell to the floor, rolling around on the stage wildly - leading some notes to sound a little off-key.
She stood back up and grabbed her bottle of whiskey laying at the corner of the stage - holding it up and pouring it down her mouth and her body. She gripped hold of the bottle and threw it down - smashing the glass all over the stage as the second and final song of the set begun, titled 'Wild Child'. She went ahead and danced all over the glass in her heels for the crazy uptempo trance-influenced track, and then dropped to her knees quickly, cutting them with the glass as she continued to sing without a care; reaching out to the audience. Aimée stood back up and suddenly ripped her whiskey-drenched vest top off as she threw it into the crowd, standing in her bra and black leggings by the end of the two-song set. "Kinda drunk now l-o-l... wowzers. THANKS SO MUCH GUYS!" she shouted out as she ran off stage. |
