I love Screamo and Hardcore.
Bands like Leathermouth, Gay for Johnny Depp, Agrotóxico, Mukeka di Rato, Aus-Rotten, Minor Threat, Black Flag, Refused, ... (I could go on for days) are so fucking amazing.
I own:

Andrew Guinnard (Post-punk/acoustic)
Lucy Tankeray (Pop diva/weird)

I can stand some songs by Bring Me The Horizon...hardcore in general, and screamo, is complete shit. Architects, Despised Icon, Whitechapel, Carnifex, I wrestled a bear once, etc etc etc are all without exception, utter utter garbage

Fuck both of them, especially Attack Attack!

I enjoy hardcore, especially from the DC scene (where all the best comes from!) Bad Brains, Minor Threat, Fugazi ( I consider them hardcore), ann the early emo bands influenced by them like Rites of Spring.
I don't enjoy a specific metalcore band though there are parts of songs that I don't mind.
As for deathcore, I used to like Suicide Silence but now I don't. The closest I get to liking deathcore is the album Akeldama by The Faceless, which is barely deathcore, though I consider it oone of the best albums I've ever heard.
The Nimrods (Progressive Death Metal,Progressive Metal,Progressive Rock.Think Opeth/Dream Theater/Tool/Pink Floyd)
Jimmy Him- Lead Guitar,Vocals,Primary Songwriter
Davey Matlock- Bass,Guitars,Vocals,Primary Songwriter
Kit Saunders- Drums,additional percussion
Jaska Latvala- Rhythm Guitar,Vocals,Primary Songwriter
Jack Burton- Keyboards,Keytar

Satyr in the Frost(Melodic Black Metal,think Satyricon/Mayhem/Early Dimmu Borgir/Immortal)
Sigmund-Vocals and Rhythm guitar
Celt-Drums
Saxon-Lead Guitar
Sauron-Keyboard
Gris-Bass

I used to listen to I Set My Friends On Fire(still do from time to time) and I'd never put off an entire Genre as shit because I'm sure that I'll like part of it(unless it's something stupid like explicitly racist or something). Also, I'm surprised you can stand anything from Bring Me The Horizon, I just can't stand the thought of listening to them.

Music with core at the end tends to be pretty crummy, except for old school hardcore. All the DC bands like Nimrods mentions, Refused, Discharge, really I prefer the more punky hardcore. When hardcore meets metal I'd really rather it was 80s-style crossover like Suicidal Tendencies and Cro-Mags than Hatebreed or Bring Me The Horizon.

I'm an old fashioned cat I guess.

The Cro-Mags and Suicidal Tendencies are quite badass. The Cro-Mags actually influenced Suffocation a lot. NYHC is rather decent. In facet for you deathcore fans, 1. Listen to Suffocation it's them you have to thank for your genre and they shit on every band in it, that is if you don't think they're too brutal. 2. New York hardcore emphasized a lot on breakdowns and is also very good so check out some bands like the Cro-Mags.

Oh I'm forgetting possibly my favorite hardcore band! Pre 2003 AFI was definitely one of my favorite hardcore bands, brilliant stuff.
