Taking a break from RP, it's not as enjoyable anymore. I don't even care that I wrote a big Rp for Newborn, I'm not inspired to finish it. Adios for a while!

Just got back from work, I hate teenagers so much, I met Sam at the bus stop because it's about a 15 minute walk from the bus stop to our flat. Anyway, it just annoys me when you pass a group of teenagers, because they'll shout something or even on occasion follow us for a while, I never know what to do, they're like 16 years old and I'm not gonna start a fight or shout back, generally we just carry on walking and ignore them but it's starting to really annoy me, especially coming home from work I don't need that, I just wanna get home and sit in front of the TV or come on here. Any suggestions. |

I ignore them but I'm starting to get really pissed off with them, it's almost everynight and not just one group of the same teenagers, it's like any group we pass they've got something to say or do to make them look good around their friends and it's not like I'm some victim, I never hung around with those kind of teenagers but I was acceptably popular at school, see I could understand if I was some nerdy kid and it's like very rarely when I'm on my own, whenever I'm with someone else is when it usually happens. If only I could buy my own island. |

If only I could buy my own island. There are numerous answers. Ultimately, if they believe you are under a certain age, they will hassle you because that's what teenagers do. I remember on one occasion, some kids were throwing little stones from the road at us, and missing, so I turned around, and did a slow clap. That got them angrier, but as I was not alone, they weren't going to do anything about it. Another similar situation, I would do a stupid dance for a couple of seconds, and quickly their confusion got the better of them. Other times you just look at them and smile and nod. It's all about dismissing and deflating them. Most times, if people are shouting something best option is either to ignore them, or turn around, and give a thumbs up or something they're not expecting. Most of the time if you do something like that, they don't see it as a threat and won't react with violence, but they will see it as a response - and in fact a response that you don't give a shit what they're shouting. A lot of the time if you ignore them or show any annoyance whatsoever, they'll just feed of that and step it up, so I feel best thing to do is to respond in a way that they are not expecting, and just show them that you don't care. Most teenagers are all bark and no bite. |

It's weird I'm not like afraid I just find it really annoying, on a Saturday morning I'd probably be more relaxed about it, but coming back from a boring day at work it just annoys me. I feel weird about complaining about teenagers when I'm only 19, but I just don't understand it, they should get on with whatever it is they do and I get on with my day. Fair enough if it was provoked but there's no need for it and it just puts people in a bit of an angry mood for no real reason. |

I know what you mean, that's why I react the way I do, because it cheers me up. It makes me think I've beaten them. I've won because I'm playing an entirely different game. And it annoys them because they don't know what that game is.

Speaking of which, spoke to a guy on the phone yesterday whose name was Jesus Antonio. And I could think about was his mother catching him doing something naughty and saying "JESUS, Antonio!" Funny names do not make up for the horror of taking calls from angry students and parents though. |

Thanks for the support Ryland and Lewis, means a lot to me (: I'm calling my doctor first thing in the morning. I told boyfriend and made him cry, at least he gave me full support and said if I needed surgery he'd be there for me. Feels great to hear that. Hopefully it's no big deal and it'll be treated only with meds. |
