I was just wondering about this not long ago, interested to know, what was the first album you ever bought, with your own cash? Be it birthday money, pocket money, a job whatever?

Mine was "Performance and Cocktails" by the Stereophonics, back in 1999. I was 11 and I had my first paper round at the time. Bought this album on cassette from a small record shop in my hometown.

What's your story?

The first proper album I bought was I think, American Idiot in 2004, it was a couple of days after christmas, I guess I was 13 at the time. I did have a terrible music taste prior to that (some may even say I still do) where I'd have terrible albums bought for me like Now ... (I know right how embarrassing). I also used to buy singles before I got American Idiot but yeah I'm pretty sure American Idiot was the first album I actually bought.

It was Charlie yeah. I was meant to be interviewing all of Fightstar, but they were all tired, and he offered to do it alone. He was probably the best interview subject I've had so far in my career. Really open to questioning, gave great answers, and even shared his pizza :)

The first "album" I bought was an actual Tape. It was from an underground Christian singer whose name I forgot. The first "CD" I bought was "Britney". Yes, the gayest thing a boy could do. Don't judge me :p

The first album was actually get this, Whale Noises. hahahaha! no joke. Don't ask. But my first "music" album I bought was Michael Jacksons Dangerous & Led Zeppelin's Physical Gravity, I purchased them in the 90's at a record store in the city I work at.

The first Vinyl I bought (recently started collecting) was Bob Dylans Times They Are A'Changin original pressing. Cost me $48!
I own...

The Bards

Jack Frost (deceased)
