MattY Live on the Warped! Tour
MattY walks onto the stage with the microphone in his right hand, a bottle of water in his left, and another bottle of water tucked under his arm. He waves to the fans and quickly dumps the water bottles at the front of the stage.
“How’s it going everyone?” MattY exclaims into the microphone. The audience erupts with excitement. He nods and smiles. “That’s what I thought! Hey hey, I have such a wicked set for you guys today! I really can’t wait to get going, so here I go. I’m gonna start with Fresh Face today!”
The music for Fresh Face starts booming out of the speakers. MattY starts moving around the stage, really getting hyped about this. The intro comes to an end and MattY gets his timing perfectly; the performance really starts with a bang.
The song comes to an end; the fans have really got into ‘MattY Mode’ and are jumping around all over the place. The fans cheer loudly as the song hits its end.
“You guys are such an awesome audience! One of the best I have ever played too!” With this the audience goes crazy. MattY really knows how to play the audience.
“Now, for track 2!” The introduction for Hold On starts and the audience starts bouncing again. “HOLD ON!!”
The second single from MattY’s FreshMixx mixtape has been a major hit recently. It got into the top 3 on the Top 20 Airplay Chart. The chorus comes around and MattY points the microphone at the audience and they sing it for him while he takes a quick swig from his water bottle. He puts it back down just in time to continue with the second verse.
The song comes to a close and MattY walks across the front of the stage with his arms up in the air
“Amazing! I’m not gonna lie, but I actually love that song!” MattY laughs, and then looks to the side. He nods, and then the introduction to Inspired starts. It isn’t a very long intro and MattY is quickly spitting his bars for the audience. A mosh pit forms near the stage and MattY grins whilst rapping. Inspired doesn’t really have many breaks for breaths, so when the song comes to an end MattY takes another sip of his water.
“You all having a good time?” MattY asks the audience. They quickly respond with a very loud noise.
“Good! That was Inspired!” As MattY is talking, a Drum ‘n’ Bass introduction starts. “Lights Out now!” MattY goes to the left of the stage and looks out at the audience. He starts rapping and the audience joins in with the bits they know. MattY winks at a girl on the front row and then starts going back across the stage. He gets to the other side just as the chorus starts and then starts bouncing around the stage. The chorus is very loud and has a massive baseline.
The song comes to an end and the audience are buzzing massively.
“Now, I’m not being cocky here, but this track is huge! It’s my first ever number 1, and it has got there 3 times! Now you tell me that isn’t huge!” MattY laughs again. He nods at the side. On walks Alicia Lena! “So basically, Miss Alicia Lena has decided to make this day absolutely awesome for all of you people, and we are gonna perform our three time number one hit Close to Tears!”
Alicia walks to centre stage and almost knocks one of MattY’s water bottles off the edge. “Hey everyone! I really hope you enjoy this!” The intro starts and Alicia prepares herself to start. She takes a deep breath and then belts out the chorus. Alicia is one of those artists who can be even better live than she is recorded. MattY prepares himself for the verse. Alicia’s voice fades into the night, and then MattY moves to the front of the stage and just stands there rapping. The look on his face shows how much this song means to him. Not only is this his first and only number 1, but it was written about the man who brought him up. MattY nods his head once as he spits the last syllable of his verse. Alicia gets her massive vocals going again, MattY can’t help but grin. She has really made this song massive for MattY. MattY starts bouncing as he prepares to get his second verse. MattY moves around a little bit in this second verse and comes and stands next to Alicia as she belts out the final chorus. MattY puts his arm around her and gives her a brief hug and a kiss on the cheek to thank her for coming out and performing with him.
“ALICIA LENA EVERYBODY! She was absolutely amazing wasn’t she?!” The audience goes absolutely crazy.
“Thank you everyone!” Alicia waves to the audience as she walks off to the right hand side of the stage.
MattY rolls his head on his neck as the slow introduction to Raising the Bar starts. He encourages the audience to start bouncing with him. The verse starts and MattY starts moving all around the stage, getting really into it. The track is a really fast paced rap, which involves lots of huge breaths for MattY.
The track slowly fades out, just as the introduction to Shoot to Kill starts.
“Eric can’t be here tonight, but I’m still gonna have a go at this one! It wont be the same without him, but it is still gonna be amazing!” MattY laughs just as Eric’s voice booms from the speakers. The track is quite a vengeful track, but it means a lot less to MattY than it used to. He tries to get the audience to sing along with Eric’s voice on the speakers. It isn’t too difficult, as this is one of MattY’s highest charting songs. The piano play at the end is a good chance for MattY to take a huge gulp of his water. He chucks the empty bottle of water off to the side of the stage.
“Well, that was my second last track of tonight. My last one is the first single from my mixtape that I released at the end of last year. Here is Enemy!” The banging start of Enemy blasts through the speakers. MattY quickly gets onto the track and really makes it a good way to finish the show! He jumps off the stage and runs round just in front of the fans giving all of the ones that can reach him a high-5 on the way around. MattY climbs back onto the stage just in time for the song to finish. He bows as the song finishes and winks at the audience as they all cheer for him.
“Thank you all! You really are amazing!” MattY picks up his remaining water bottle and opens the cap as he walks off stage, taking a sip as he goes backstage.
