His music plans aren’t quite as advantageous as his older sister Jennifer, “I’d like to be part of a backing band and maybe do a little song writing for now. I don’t know about the future.” In February 2011 his newly formed band The Wildflowers signed a one album contract at Shooting Aces Records. EARLY LIFEScott Armstrong was born in Hudson County, New Jersey to Susan and David Armstrong. His mother, was an English teacher and his father was a builder. He has 2 older sisters, Jennifer (19) and Katie Armstrong (21) and his older brother Max Armstrong who was 23 years old when he died in October 2010.
Scott always had an interest in music from an early age and often used Max’s guitar whenever he could. Max helped out with Scott’s guitar playing from an early age but due to his busy schedule in New York he didn’t get to spend as much time teaching Scott so he quickly learnt to play guitar in different ways.
Scott left school at 16 like his brother Max and his sister Katie. He played guitar in a backing band in a venue in South Orange, New Jersey called The Barn.
He plans on touring worldwide in a backing band for major stars and has already reportedly got a lot of interest from some major stars.CAREERHis first live performances came in a venue in New Jersey called The Barn, he was part of the house band. In August 2010 he joined the 4th Street Band onstage for two songs both shows were in New Jersey. In January 28, 2011 he was confirmed as part of Brittany Knox's backing band for her world tour in support of her 2nd album. It was confirmed in February 2011 that Scott is set to work with G2L on a couple of tracks for their second album, due for release in 2011. In February 2011 he became part of a newly formed band called The Wildflowers, they were quickly signed to Shooting Aces Records. In May 2011 he joined Katie Coyle in a London record studio to play guitar on a track for her. On May 6th 2011 he announced that he was leaving The Wildflowers.PERSONAL LIFEHe is a very energetic and outgoing person, he gained this reputation from his live shows at The Barn often playing guitar in bizarre costumes and doing unusual moves to make sounds with his guitar. In February 2011 it was rumoured that Scott was dating G2L singer, AJ, it wasn't confirmed by either person though.
